Why take this course?

It’s important to learn new skills, but it’s even more important to learn the right skills.

Why Golang? Well, Golang has been the most popular language to learn over the past 3 years, and is easily one of the top trending programming languages of the past decade.

But the reason why it’s popular is because it’s the true programmer’s language. It was built with the idea to make work a lot easier for programmers all over the world. And it does exactly that.

Go or Golang is a programming language developed and maintained by Google. It is a free and open-source language. It’s easy to learn, it’s scalable and it has fast execution.

This course requires zero experience in programming or coding. All it takes is some discipline and following our easy-to-understand curriculum.

This course won’t just throw content at you. We’ve made sure that what you learn will actually stick. After each module, you’ll get access to practice questions to truly understand the concepts we teach you.

You’ll also get access to our hands-on labs. Our labs can be accessed right in your browser without having to set up any lab environment yourself. We validate your work and give you feedback instantly.

Our hands-on labs will give you the experience you need to excel in your DevOps career.

In this course, you will learn:

  • Data types

  • Variables

  • Arrays

  • Slices

  • Maps

  • Operators

  • Control flow

and other Go concepts.

Good for someone, who don't know any programming language yet - too basic for someone, who knows other languages, but wants to learn GO.

This was great starter course for learning GO. It would have been nice if the labs provided more explanation for when code produce an error. Often I was unsure why the correct answer was and error but besides that a good course.

There was some confusion if I should be downloading labs for this class. I began downloading VS Code and Go for my computer before you specified there would be provided labs. You should mention that in the beginning before you introduce the tools. This class is geared more for people without programming experience. For a person that knows how to program, but is learning the syntax the explanations are a little too CompSci 101.

Good beginner course. I would suggest only taking this entire course if you have little to no programming experience. If you do, it is adequate for skipping around and finding tidbits of information where you need it

It's a good start point to learn Go, very clear and detailed each explanation, with useful practices and tests.

As the name said, this course is beginner friendly. Covered most of the basic topics and data types. But the videos were slow so had to play in 1.5x speed.

I was expecting a course for beginners in golang, not beginners in programming, but apart from that course is well explained and well structured

In a lot of places i have seen map[string]interface{} , took the course to understand the same. A little bit more about interfaces would've been better.

The course if awesome! And to be the best, it will be great if nearly every lab will ask to write the code and the lab environment automatically evaluate written code on correctness.

too much issues to connect to the labs, i just stop the training because of that. Up to you to fix the issues with the koudekloud platform

A very good course for beginners on Go programming. I took one star off because, the labs were cumbersome to use and it went off site.

The Lab exercises could have been better. For the quizes, for some tricky questions explanation on why a particular answer is correct would have been useful.

As a beginner class on Go, this course hits the right notes covering the essentials of the language in a clear and concise manner. Some additional content around concurrency, type assertion and code organization in modules/packages will make this intro course even better.
