Getting clients is where most coaches and consultants get stuck.
Hi! My name is Debbie LaChusa. I've been in business on my own, as a coach, consultant, trainer, and online teacher for more than 20 years. And, after creating three, 6-figure businesses, I've learned it's actually pretty simple to get clients. But what's simple is not always easy, or comfortable.
This course focuses on teaching you the 6 Basic Steps every coach or consultant needs to take if they want to get clients.
In my experience, after helping other coaches and consultants build their businesses for 20+ years, I've discovered that most coaches and consultants who are struggling to fill their business with clients are actually avoiding these steps.
Instead, they're spending their time and money on the wrong things, things they think they need to do, but that don’t directly bring them clients.
Are you an independent coach or consultant struggling to fill your practice with clients?
Maybe you too are avoiding these 6 steps.
Many coaches and consultants invest hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of dollars to set up their business, but still find themselves months, or even years later, without clients.
That's because they're focusing on the wrong activities.
They may have a really cool website, a beautiful logo, brochure, business cards, and maybe even a Facebook Page… in fact, they have all the marketing bells and whistles, but what they don’t have are clients.
There are lots of things you can keep yourself busy with when you have your own business.
But guess what? While those things may be fun to work on... while they may make it look like you have a business, the reality is without clients you don't have a business.
If your primary goal is to fill your coaching or consulting business with clients (and it should be!), then the 6 steps I teach in this course are the action items you need to focus on.
Everything else can wait.
Don't expect this course to teach you some obscure or complicated marketing or sales tactics to help you get clients.
Because that's not what it takes to get clients.
As I said, it's pretty simple, yet in my experience working with clients for more than 20 years, I found most were not doing these simple activities.
Instead, they were doing all the things they thought they were supposed to do.
I'm here to tell you those things don't matter when you're just starting out OR you're struggling to get clients.
So, if you need clients and you're ready to let go of what you're doing now and learn the down and dirty, basic steps you really need to take to get clients, this course is for you.
I'm going to teach you 6 steps you can take to start getting clients immediately.
I promise, if you take them, you will get clients.
What this course covers:
What most new, or struggling, coaches and consultants spend their time doing and why you shouldn’t be doing this.
What you should spending your time on if you want or need clients quickly.
What most coaches and consultants think they need to do before they can get clients and why it’s absolutely NOT necessary.
How the way most coaches and consultants start out in business actually delays them from getting paying clients .
Why getting clients should be your #1 priority.
The only things you need to do before you get your first client (it’s probably a lot less than you think).
3 simple things you can do this week (actually in a little as 3 days) so you can start getting clients next week.
3 simple things to do next week to get you clients immediately (it’s not hard but most people don’t do this… if you do you will get clients).
How working with free, practice clients can actually hurt your ability to get paying clients.
A checklist to help you determine whether or not you should start with free, practice clients (in some cases it does make sense, but you have to be careful).
A logo, business cards, and yes, even a website, aren't the priority.
When I started my consulting business back in 1998 I didn't have any of these things. And I'm a marketer, so it would have been a natural first step for me to create these marketing materials. But I knew these were not the things that were going to get me clients.
Additionally, I can tell you that with nearly every coach or consultant I've helped over the years, we've had to completely re-do all of the marketing materials they paid good money to have designed.
Why? Because they were off the mark. They didn't really understand who they were selling to, or how to package what they were selling, because they hadn't actually worked with anyone yet.
In fact, seeing this so many times is what prompted me to create this course.
You don't need to hire an expensive business coach or consultant to help you get clients. You just need to take these steps.
If you're serious about getting clients and you're willing to do what it takes, please join me in this class.

This is my third course I have taken of Debbie's and I absolutely love the information she shares. Most of all, I love putting it all into action!! I have taken so many notes and have already started to implement what she has recommended in these videos! I found a new source to get clients and I cannot wait to see where it all goes!
yes...I really enjoyed this course as i was having many questions in my mind but it all answered very clearly.... Thank you for your guidance. It will help me for further doing any business. I just wanted to ask you is this possible that if i get any issue or if i get stuck doing any events then can i ask you any help you to guide me... Thanks Richa
This course does NOT tell you how to get clients. It only tells you what most of you already know... It tells you what you already have questions about, which is probably why you bought the course... "Think about who your clients are. Think about where they are. Think about how to get them as clients. If I knew where they are, I wouldn't have bought this course. I was expecting to learn where they are. If I knew how to get them as clients, I wouldn't have bought this course. It really didn't teach me anything I didn't already know. It only taught me the questions to ask myself, in which I already have. I was looking to have those questions answered.
Excellent course which helps to overcome selling anxiety. When I first launched my first business several years ago I spent 95% of my time on administrative tasks which did not generate revenue. Then the remaining 5% trying to outsource selling activity by recruiting people based on commission. This is a bad way to start your business as I was not offering clients my expertise which I had spent years building because I was afarid to sell. Since this time I have been working with clients to serve (deliver) their needs and expand the footprint (getting clients) which has made me realise selling is more of a conversation to understand needs/challenges, then assess fit, before making an offer, and closing the specific opportunity. Honestly, once you start selling it becomes more natural after each encounter so I now believe this is the most important skill within a business which is why those who progress quickest are generally great salespeople.
I actually knew most of the information presented, so I guess I'm further along in the process than I thought. I was surprised that online marketing wasn't considered as important. I have had zero luck with offline marketing. Maybe it's just my location, but online marketing has been much more beneficial to me. The instructor was easy to understand and didn't talk down to the listener, which I appreciated. I've had other coaches talk down to me as if they are superior and that I know nothing. For an intro course such as this, it is so important to be understanding and informative and the instructor nailed this. I also like the resources provided. They look to be very helpful and I will look forward to delving into the suggested activities. I will consider other courses by Debbie LaChusa.
Concise. This course will leave you with two options: execute or do something else. That's the mark of a good course. No fluff no bs. The instructor seems sincere and I look forward to taking her other courses as well. I almost paid 3k for a mentoring program about coaching/consulting and I'm glad I found this course first. Thank you to the instructor.
Good introductory course. Really gives you the basics (and common sense tactics to launch your practice or service business.
This course is more of a good pep talk than a step by step but in conjunction with the other corses it offered value.
Concise and highly useful information from the expert who knows it all. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and expertise :)
Clear, concise, professional and delivered with warmth. Covers the basics well. Expect to feel challenged and motivated. Thanks Debbie!
Three best things about the course: 1. Relevant. (Free from irrelevant stuff) 2. To the point 3. Engaging Great job.
The instructor made good on the learning objectives. She was clear and direct yet understanding. It's obvious she's a professional who knows what she's talking about. The information she provides you already know, and you need to hear it so that you can get clear if this is really what you want to do. I need clients and I'm scared but I'm doing it anyway. Great training; thank you.
The content is great but I dont like my tutor to read it for me. I am looking for practical experience sharing with examples about how to apply this steps apart from what tutor has done for herself like going to conferences, I think other ways like leaflet adverts or asking for references etc., can also work .
The contents were helpful, reassuring to newcomers and Debbie brought out the points in a concise manner.
This is a short and very to-the-point course. The material presented is extremely valuable to the new consultant/coach.
