  1. Learning the notes A, B, C, and D on each of the 6 strings.

  2. Learning the notes A, B, C, and D in each of 5 vertical fretboard areas.

  3. Learning all 7 natural notes on each of the 6 strings.

  4. Learning all 7 natural notes in each of 5 vertical fretboard areas.

  5. Free improvisation using all 7 natural notes, everywhere on the fretboard (backing tracks included).

  6. Learning all 12 notes on each of the 6 strings.

At 5:48, for vertical area, can somebody explain what does instructor mean "Pick an area.....Answer 2 beats after the question. Example answers are played in area 4." Horizontal playing seems to have some pattern to play in different areas. But for vertical playing I do not see any pattern, how does one play in one area and then on other areas. Also, I don't think the instructor mentioned which finger to use on which note. I wish he could have demonstrated clearly so the leaners can grasp and follow the instructions. I wish the narration was much more clearer

I like that the meat of the course was already given within the first lesson. I definitely learned a lot, though I think this course with be better supplemented with handouts and audio downloads of the backing tracks for the drills.

Erich is one of the best instructors I have ever found in my pursuit of becoming a better guitarist and musician. He adds just the right amount of humor and humility to demonstrate his real passion for teaching. I have grown exponentially since enrolling into UGS!!! Thanks Erich

Highly recommended! This course is exactly what I wanted to learn the notes on the fretboard! - Easy to understand and well organized. I'm very impressed with Prokopis' Skordis teaching methods having used the SFS Fretboard Secrets course too.

I followed an earlier version of this course and I can say that it is the best way to learn the fretboard bar none. Highly recommended.

This is a VERY thorough fretboard visualization course. It will take a while to get the repetition in to make it all stick, but this is essential skills for me and I highly recommend the course to anybody who can't play 11 D's or F's around the fretboard with ease. It's a lot of drilling, so buckle up, but I personally got a ton out of it.

This looks like a nice course for memorizing the Fretboard. There are backing tracks and examples, pretty solid for a free course. Not the course doesn' teach the SRS method itself - you have to buy that - but you can probably figure out how it works from the diagrams that are included.

This course is fantastic for learning the fretboard. Even experienced guitar players believe that they know the entire fretboard, but once they are asked to identify the notes on the fretboard rapidly, the truth emerges as they start to fumble and make blunders. I have been using this course, and it has truly made a vast difference. Moreover, the maker of this course, Propokis Skordis, is a magnificent teacher who makes playing the guitar like an adept, an easy and pleasurable effort.

I've done about 5 courses from Prokopis / String Systems / Effective Music Practice. He's an exceptional teacher with great methodology and makes it easy to feel like you're learning something with each video. This fretboard memorization course is a shorter course because it's a smaller amount of content compared to the other courses. His technique is wonderful for finally memorizing the entire fretboard. He makes it fun which is the point of all of this. It was a nice diversion from learning more improvisation, techniques, and theory from his other courses. I think the practices are something I'll go back to every month or so for an hour to keep sharp on it.

This is a very useful course, and Prokopis Skordis is a wonderful teacher. In fact, I wish I had found a teacher like him (teaching the method he teaches) fifty years ago. My fretboard knowledge increased rapidly in just a couple weeks as I followed his well-organized approach.

I took this course as a refresher of fundamentals from when I first learned music. It is an outstanding, practical way of studying those fundamentals.
