You will learn in a professional way the parametric and other models for 3D modeling

You will understand the fundamental concepts to be able to generate renderings and 3D printing in a professional way

You will learn the design and generation 2D tech drawings, sketches and plans, according to the standard, and above all, understanding their interpretation

You will master all the assembly process, using all assembly options of FreeCAD

You will be able to practice the content learned in a practical way by following all the steps in the complete exercises

You will start with the basics and progressively carry out more complex steps until you reach an advanced level and absolute mastery at the end of the course

Why take this course?

Become a FreeCAD professional and learn one of employer's most requested skills nowadays!

This comprehensive course is designed so that students, engineers, designers, arquitects... can learn FreeCAD software from scratch to use it in a practical and professional way. Never mind if you have no experience in the software, you will be equally capable of understanding everything and you will finish the course with total mastery of the subject.

After several years working as an Engineer, I have realized that nowadays mastering FreeCAD for the design and 3D modelling of any object is very necessary in engineering, designing or other industrial applications. FreeCAD is an open source software (it works without commercial licenses), and that is why it is one of the leaders in the industry and its demand is increasing. Knowing how to use this software can give you many job opportunities and many economic benefits, especially in the world of engineering, architecture or design.

The big problem has always been the complexity to perfectly understand the software it requires, since its absolute mastery is not easy. In this course I try to facilitate this entire learning and improvement process, so that you will be able to carry out and understand your own projects in a short time, thanks to the step-by-step and detailed examples of every concept.

With more than 6 exclusive hours of video, this comprehensive course leaves no stone unturned! It includes both practical exercises and theoretical examples to master FreeCAD. The course will teach you 3D modelling in a practical way, from scratch, and step by step.

We will start with the installation of FreeCAD software on your computer, regardless of your operating system and computer.

Then, we'll cover a wide variety of topics, including:

  • Introduction to FreeCAD and course dynamics

  • Download and Install FreeCAD latest version

  • General familiarization with the user interface and workbench

  • Complete project setup and basic FreeCAD Commands and Preferences

  • Application and working with all workbench tools

  • 3D modelling design and 2D tech drawing, from zero to advanced

  • Parametric and other models for 3D modeling

  • Rendering and 3D printing

  • Full use of Assembly in FreeCAD

  • 2D Tech drawing

  • Mastery and application of absolutely ALL the functionalities of the software

  • Practical exercises and much more!

In other words, what I want is to contribute my grain of sand and teach you all those things that I would have liked to know in my beginnings and that nobody explained to me. In this way, you can learn to solve a wide variety of projects quickly and make versatile and complete use of FreeCAD. And if that were not enough, you will get lifetime access to any class and I will be at your disposal to answer all the questions you want in the shortest possible time.

Learning FreeCAD has never been easier. What are you waiting to join?

Poor presentation - Models are presented, but no download link for student to load up the same model - The instructor should have uninstalled FreeCAD, wiped all of their saved settings out, then downloaded FreeCAD from scratch, so the student could do the exact same steps to be in sync with the instructor

It is helpful but the demonstrations could be better presented which is frustrating at time. Drawing concepts for using the different tools could be better explained for developing a rational approach to a project. Freecad is a complex program. It was not easy to learn. When I understood that planes of sketches, faces, edges and points have to be connected in the examples then it stared to make sense. You make a sketches for every setup you will do on a milling machine in the shop. You need to be methodic and consistent. His approach is OK to start with until you find one that is more suitable for your work. I put 4 stars because I learn the basic with enough confidence to work on my projects in a week and the course was on sale for $13. It worked for me. If I had paid over $200 for the course I would have asked to be refunded because of the poor pedagogy and video skills (old/shop style, do it, make mistake and fix it). I also learn the Freecad is a great program with many features for many application so I say a great thank you to the open source community who are working on the project.

very informative, did not have Wireview on my panel but with this instruction and little exploration I enabled it.

To encourage the student to follow along, adding pauses/markers to the videos to permit them to complete the steps would be very helpful. Demonstration files would also be beneficial.

Tutor seems to mostly just read off the screen, with little in depth or organic explanation. Accent is also quite strong making it sometimes difficult to understand. Midway in to the course the tutor starts speeding through operations that have not been previously demonstrated.

Shame Udemy offered such a low-quality course. 1. Demonstration files / samples were NOT included. The course was in NO WAY complete! Many capablities were ignored e.g. BOM from assembly. Better titled "Brief Introduction to FreeCAD". 2. Presenter seriously needed to script the presentation. In most sessions it seemed he was making it up as he went. Not professional and pathetic. Significant time wasted watching mistakes. 3. In only one session was a contrast between methods presented. 4. At least 2 sample drawings contained errors. 5. One model he completed had an error that he did not catch. 6. Etc. The list goes on. Key take-away: Script the presentations and practice before recording the session.

The course is fine and I did learn how to use the softwar. However, it is very basic with many errors during sessions in execution and drawing methodology. Sessions are not prepared or edited, which make it even harder to follow due to repetative back and forth steps. Total lack of resources material made the course less benifitial. Assembly section is totally useless since no drawing files are avilable to train on or follow instructor. It would have been better to provide files or even drawings images and keep it as an additonal excersie simmilar to 2D drawing section. The course only uses some of the commands in few workbenches. Wish it briefly covered all commands to understand how the software is working. On the other side no explanation about moving between multiple workbenches to benefit from their versatility or using parametric features that FreeCad is famous for.

The version of Free Cad in the course is different than what I downloaded, It is hard to understand what the instructor is saying, and he is going too fast. Also very basic information. nothing of real substance so far

Too basic, too slow. Too much umm and ahh - should have scripted the dialogue so that there was less time wasted.

The installation and basic use of FreeCAD are explained in the first few sessions, but after that, the course becomes a walk-through of several CAD design examples and little to nothing is explained. The background music is irritating, and the trainer speaks English poorly. I would say there are much better FreeCAD training videos available on Youtube ... for free !

No time is taken to explain the tools or settings. This is just walkthough of "what to do" and nothing about "why you do it." Would be very hard to follow if I didn't have some FreeCAD experience already. Broken english also rates this low.

I am a CAD professional familiar with many products; but new to FreeCAD. After patiently enduring 8 very basic sessions, I became disappointed during session 9 (Part Design Workbench) when it became abundantly clear that the instructor was learning as he was going. No editing of the session had been done to make it clear what was happening. The instructor was not sensitive to the student's perspective as he was muttering to himself and trying various things. There were a few things which I did learned from this course so I did not request a refund. I think the bad sessions can - and should - be edited. Some of the lessons it was pretty clear that they were recorded "one and done". Others must have noticed that these were not only poor by Udemy standards; but also compared with some of the later sessions. Other than being far too much about customization, I think the outline is pretty well organized. My complaint is more about the execution of the lessons. There was a lot of clicking around. It is unacceptable to show things without any explanation for beginners.

Disjointed, introduces menu/configuration options but doesn't explain them. Presentation is very slow. So far not very informative.

Yes. I have a little background on Fusion 360 but my trial session ended. So far, this software could be a good eplacement.
