FANG SONG GONG

The 12 moves of fang song gong forms part of the HUN YUAN [hun-yoo-ann] system of tai chi and chi-kung.

Fang song gong means "to cultivate relaxation" through the "gong" (energy work). The set of 12 moves is extremely effective at reducing stress and increasing the feelings of relaxation.

The moves appear to be very simple but when the correct timing and breathing is applied, they are highly complex and challenging.

Fang song gong's basic movement is a very relaxed weight shift from leg to leg, lifting the opposite heel, placing the Kidney-One point firmly into the ground (the earth). In a pendulum motion created by the weight shifting, energy is thereby drawn up the leg meridians, especially the Kidney channel.

The 12 moves are easy to learn even by beginners to chi kung. The Hun Yuan system (translated hun yuan means "mixed circles") is one style of ta chi and has it's own forms and chi kung routines.

Very easy to follow instructions and video demonstrations. I was comfortable with the movements in just a few days. The exercises are simple but are very helpful in relieving feelings of stress.

Another great course by Sifu Andy Wright. Why I keep doing his courses. They're awesome courses that teach fantastic Qigong sets in a great manner.

This is a great course taught by a fantastic teacher! Read Andy's story to know why his course teaches more than what is said and written. Andy works to spread the benefits of Qigong in many civic activities. To paraphrase a quote: "Who Andy is permeates what he teaches." Not only is his course great but it is also effective. I had only accomplished one-fourth of his course when I began to feel the movement of qi. For the most benefit, pay particular attention to the wuji stance and your breathing. This is the key to encouraging qi flow. You might find supplemental research regarding the wuji stance to be beneficial as well as Andy's lesson which is near the end of this course. Sign up today to personally experience qi through Fang Song Gong Qigong.

Very good, simple forms that encourage a sense of flow and deep breathing. This is the perfect set for a beginner and it is very clearly taught.

The course is well organized and the instructor's passion for the subject comes through. The only improvement I might suggest is that the demonstrations could run 30-45 seconds shorter. However, if the user's intent is to simply follow along with each demonstration video, then the length is perfect.

I certainly appreciate Andy's hard work as to put the Qi Gong exercises together in different scenes. I have no doubt about Andy's ability to teach a class live. However his movements in the videos are jerky, as a result, wind blows lotus leaves and willow tree may look the same. The music at the beginning of the practices can be more relaxed, so that we can practice "Fang Song Qi Gong". The last lecture about "real people talking about Tai' Chi instead of Qi Gong". I am a bit confused because Qi Gong and Tai' Chi are two different things.
