Why take this course?

'Facility' is a building such as sports centers, offices, institution buildings that are built or maintained to permit individuals to take an interest in work, game, amusement activities, exercises, such as a pool, recreation center, offices, gym etc. ‘Facility Management’ or ‘FM’ includes all services required for the management of buildings and real estate to maintain and increase their value. This includes integration of multi-disciplinary activities within the built environment to provide maintenance support, project management and user management during the building life cycle. Facility Management has an impact both upon people and the workplace.

International Facility Management Association defines ‘Facility Management’ as:

“A management function that encompasses multiple disciplines to ensure functionality of the built environment by integrating people, place, process, and technology.”

•Dealing with building maintenance can be a troublesome and tedious assignment.

•Facility Management gives guidance and data to help people to better deal with their buildings and maintain them well.

•It covers planning and operational principles that encourage increased use of facilities.

Organizations that know about the most effective and fair approaches to oversee facilities have a more prominent capacity to control the utilization of their facility, or to impact the general population who control the facility they utilize.

Most facilities, regardless of whether community-group-based or commercial, have similar general management and administration objectives that is to expand the utilization of their facility and working in a proficient, secure and reasonable way.

To get the maximum utilization of a facility, it ought to be situated in an effortlessly close-by location that is easily accessible. An organization may need to consider methods for making a facility more accessible. For instance, improving car and on-foot access, car parking and easy transport for members.

It would be nice if this was a little more interactive. Being able to click on the buttons would be good.

The course itself describes only very high level what Facility Management is without real examples and rather explaining general concepts of roles which could be describing any kind of industry and not specific sally Facility Management. he courier is basically a collection of PowerPoint slides being rad out loud by a voice and I believe if I would have been handed the PowerPoint slides I would have finished the course in half the time learning the same.

A comprehensive overview of FM. However, the video presentation goes on too fast a pace. It's just like reading out of a text book. Is there a source to download the text?
