This was a very basic simple course on how to create functions and apply them to a worksheet. Great job!

If you're new to the concept of how the VBAs Function-statement functions, then this course is a perfect first step into its definition! Love this course! You will too!

Daniel Strong's courses are adequate, to-the-point, and have increased my abilities far beyond what they ever were in corporate accounting.

In comparison to Garret Grant videos, very disjoint, non polished material review and end summary for each section. More "general" review material in place of actual creation of user defined functions.

I hate to do this, but this course is tough to follow. I'm through section 1.10 and found it very difficult to follow the instructor. He seems to be all over the place. Perhaps I need additional courses before trying this one. I will come back later after taking other Excel courses to see if I can better follow the instructor and update the rating.

This instructor is making all sorts of assumptions about our knowledge of Excel. Pressing ALT+F11 opened the macro editor but not with anything on the top half where I could type. Looks like he opened something that already had macros or functions in there. I didn't know how to get the white window that allowed me to type what he was typing. Then I know about the left, mid and right functions to use in a worksheet but once the functions were created I could not get them to run as he showed. It just gave me #NAME?. Under Modules, I only show RibbonX_Code and not Module1 as he had. Very frustrating experience. If I can't get the beginning stuff to work there's probably no reason to go any farther with this course.

Even though I've taken one of his other VBA classes it was valuable to review functions specifically.

Great description and good pace, brilliant thank you. I am keen to see if you can use a function within table calculations especially if you are moving across columns

This is the second or third course I've taken from Daniel. I have enjoyed every one and learned a tremendous amount in the process. I learned some really neat tricks in this course for functions. And I thought I already knew about all there was to know about functions...boy was I wrong! Keep up the good work, Daniel!

Great course Daniel. I picked up quite a few tips to add to my arsenal of macros and learned a couple of things along the way. Recommend this course to anyone with a little VBA experience that wants to add to their knowledge.
