It was a good course. I wish the teacher would have used the same raw data for each course. To have to download different spreadsheets was kind of a waste.

Not quite as in-depth as I was expecting, but overall, it's pretty good. Although I have used pivot tables, I did learn some new things in this course. Highly recommend for those unfamiliar with pivot tables, ActiveX objects and recording macros.

First of all I appreciate the work the instructor has done. I'm an experienced advanced user and more than above average with pivot tables and there was nothing new for me. So why 4 stars? Because my review is based on the content and every course deserves a honest review. For who is this course. In my opinion this course is for someone who has some experience with Excel and will bring his skill to the next level. It's also for the intermediate/advanced user who only knows the basics of a pivot tables. So be honest to yourself. I've seen to many Excel users who think they are intermediate to advanced and they just know the basics. What will you learn? You will learn: some useful techniques to create your pivot table in many ways; customize styles; preparing your data (very important); Field settings / value settings; Using slicers; Grouping / sorting; How to show more subtotals like sum/min/max/average and so on At the end you get an short introduction of powerpivot. So if you're not familiair with pivot tables, don't hesitate. And neither do if you have little experience.
