The course was well done but for one not an expert with Studio One, it went a little too fast. Will be taking this course again and the course on using Studio one to learn what I missed the first time.

Great course and it is increasing my understanding of orchestral music in regards to the layout/how it is composed. - Thanks

This is the first time that I've gone from beginning to end with a Udemy course. It's thoroughly engaging with each section leading to the next in a structured and well-thought-through way. By following along, the completion of each section results in a piece that, even without the addition of the next parts, is really listenable. This, in itself, motivated me to drag my tired ass out of bed at 5am every morning to carry on working on it. Finally, I found that this was a really great way to learn about Studio One itself. I've learned so much about just the software from working through this course. And because I've learned it within the context of actually making music I've found that what I've learned "sticks" much more naturally than when I try to learn just by working through a "All About Studio One" type course. Well done Gary! Excellent job!

Excellent course. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning how to produce an Epic and Cinematic Composition. I missed a subtitle with translation into Portuguese, this would certainly attract other students to the course. Congratulations!

Loved the step-by-step approach of the course, made it very easy for a nonexpert to follow and put into use.

Chord naming was wrong, even though it was corrected, This proved the instructor did not pay attention carefully Proceeding half way, the content is pretty good. I raised the evaluation

This course was a very effective introduction into epic, cinematic composition. Starting from a simple piano chord progression the addition of different instrument groups was nicely explained to finally create a rich sounding orchestra piece. I will certainly look for other courses of Gary!

Well explained plans and processes during composition, but unfortunately the piece is not finished at all. Thanks a lot, any way.

I found the course useful in showing how to build up from an initial chord progression through to a layered composition.

I really had a blast while working through this material. Gary is a very good teacher and breaks things down, so that even a newbie like me was easily able to follow. He is doing a great job with demystifying movie score composition, and I have never thought that this can be done without holding a PHD in composition! I am super pleased. Keep up the good work Gary! Cheers, Peter
