Why take this course?

Children experience rapid physical changes through infancy and early childhood. Various skills like Fine Motor, Gross Motor and Cognitive skills are the abilities usually acquired during childhood. Early literacy and early numeracy are other two important skill areas that develop during the early childhood period. Research suggests that there are important cognitive connections between early literacy and numeracy skill development that may help us to think more broadly about children's early academic learning. These two skill areas appear to be related to one another. Sand Play promotes physical development. Large muscle skills develop as children dig, pour, sift, scoop, and clean up spills with brush and dustpan. Sand play also promotes social skills.

Rotational classroom activities integrates all these aspects of learning and help in enhancing child development. The classroom is arranged keeping in mind 4-5 stations of learning and children get a chance to move from one station to other after the completion of an activity. This promotes children movement in the classroom and greater understanding of the concepts. Now keeping in mind the weekly class planner, the Educator can setup 4-5 such stations in Preschool and about 5 stations in Kindergarten and primary classrooms.

Content of the course is very informative. The student worksheets are created using graphic organisers and have tasks & learning outcomes which can be used as a reference. Various strategies have been explained and are classified depending upon the skills learned by the students. Overall very interesting course.

In this she has taught concepts in a student friendly manner. All the stations have be set up to teach concepts in early years. there are interesting games like beach included for teaching analog time clock. The art station is well explained with so many mediums to experiment for children.

very informative course. If you want to be creative & set up meaningful learning stations in your classrooms, then you should enrol in this course. The art learning station demonstrates the use of different mediums for enhancing children creative & imaginative skills. The bingo game for teaching concepts - nouns, verbs & the clock game for teaching concept - Time is very useful.

Very informative course. All the learning stations are explained really well. I didn't know about the integration part, like how subjects - art, numeracy , literacy, music etc can be integrated with each other. There are many student samples included in each lecture which gives you an understanding about various hands-on activities. The Art & Pot painting station is very exploratory.

I gained knowledge about different types of learning stations in a classroom and how subjects like Literacy - nouns, adjectives, Numeracy- Add & Sub, Arts- interesting mediums , Music can be integrated while creating these stations.
