People often talk about positive and negative emotions.  This is not that helpful as emotions cannot really be labelled in that way.  The course also covers the myths around positive and negative emotions and why this terminology is not appropriate when working to understand emotions and emotional intelligence in the workplace as a leader.

This course is an Advanced Edition of my Emotional Intelligence Leadership Training and Development program.


The course is featured in the Udemy for Business catalogue.  A few people are instructed to take the course under duress by their organisation.  The course has recently been given 1 and 2 star ratings from a number of learners without comments for some reason.  I am not sure why this is.  I have thanked each person and asked for some feedback that will help me to improve the course and offers of help in understanding the material.  I have had no response and so I am unable to address any potential issues within the course that I am unaware of.

So far it's applicable to my project manager role in my organization. I appreciate how examples are used to demonstrate the concept as you walk through the material rather than waiting to the end of a section. Pace allows time for my brain to take in the language used.

Very engaging and thought provoking. I highly recommend this course to anybody who leads people. The content is concise, easy to understand and very applicable. Tutors must understand the various learning methods; persons who are auditory learners would benefit greatly from this course. However, visual persons would not as there is no visual of the words that are being spoken. There are too little pictures as well to illustrate what is being discussed.
