I knew a lot of it already but gave me some good ideas for campaigns so I'm thankful. A good addition to this might have been to touch on how players can add bits of character traits or flavor for their chosen profession or race when they encounter certain situations they find themselves in. One of my favorite parts of Baldur's Gate (and just campaigns I have run in general with friends) were when characters would interject with peculiarities, or when a strange peccadillo might be crossed and cause an event or cascade of events, how characters of separate alignments in the same party can even play their personalities off of one another. seemingly little additions like that can really make a campaign come to life and add a lot. Just food for thought for new players -- but still pretty good stuff overall for beginners or DMs looking to get into a players head a little more. :)
