Why take this course?

Drip irrigation is by far the most efficient use of our water resources - as long as it's designed, installed and maintained correctly. This is an introductory course for those of you wanting to have a better understanding of both point source and inline drip systems. We'll be covering sources of water for irrigation and the effect different soil textures have on selecting components of the system. We'll also dive into drawing the plan and the basics of doing a take-off list for when you go to purchase everything you need.

Installation tips and techniques will also be covered in detail - like how to assemble a drip irrigation valve manifold whether it be an anti-siphon valve or an inline valve. The importance of filtration cannot be underestimated and we'll be talking about this in some depth.

How does a drip emitter even work? How does it provide even pressure and flow? We'll cover all of this and more.

I have expected more information around the design of the irrigation system. How do you determine the sizes of the pipes required etc, this to me is part of the basic design and has to be done before you can do the marterials takeoff.

the course is more form use while i am locking something on frame level as will more practices' and example is needed to make the trainer more confidant about the subject , different pipe size and HW explanation and place to be used is missing at all final application in different places (for plant , herb , sharp , tree in open field in bed in greenhouses in different planting martial and in different soil type) in detailed will more helpful

I guess I was expecting more theory. I don't even know what manifold is, or how it is to be used, and we are getting instructions onhow to assemble. I suppose I need a class even more basic.

Good practical course. It is a second course from the same teacher I took on Udemy. I could not give 5 stars, as missed examples from the field. Would recommend to film the installation of the system step by step and to show small parts of it while talking about the particular topic. Also would be good to hear about two scenarios - when the system is installed in an empty field before planting and how it could be done when plants already there. My personal challenge - I use the metric system, so it was quite difficult to imagine gallons, etc. Anyway, was useful.

So far so good. A number of terms and concepts are introduced early on (e.g. charging the system) but not actually explained. I can guess what they mean but as this is based at beginners as terms are introduced it would be useful if they were briefly explained.

Overall, quite good and informative, especially for a beginner. The instructors were well organised, explained everything at the right level and supplied good, clear and relevant diagrams, calculations, etc. Having said that, section 8. "Know your water" and section 19. "Drip irrigation filtration" were very repetitive and could have been combined into just one lesson. Thumbs up!

Very explicit lectures with detailed explanations, however, for a novice, it is important I should be thought how to calculate the pressure required to run an efficient drip system
