This is a great course for beginners. Instead of showing you how to draw fancy things like other courses do, it tells you the drawing basics, which does not look attractive at the very beginning. But after practicing more, you will be able to learn how to draw things accurately. This course is a stepstone for you to move to advanced drawings.

The format of this course is laser focused on the title, basic skills and sketching accurately. Most art courses I've completed bounce around too much or waste time reviewing the difference between 2B and 4B pencils. The exercises provided were great and well explained. If you're experienced at drawing, this might be too easy but if you're beginner to intermediate level then it's definitely worth it.

Even though it's suitable for beginners it gave quite a lot of insights to help you become a better artist. I think it's very helpful to see the combination of work done by the teacher - including his mistakes which are very useful to see as well - especially as you see how they can be corrected to lead to pretty cool drawings. The prerequisite for the course is a special divider Those who do all the exercises will undoubtedly improve their drawing skills. However, these exercises were incredulously boring. Without the instructor's divider, the whole thing was even more difficult and more boring. And it took a lot of time. I live in Austria, a divider could not be found online or in artist supply shops. It was only with an online dealer from Germany that I found one. However, it did not have the thin tips that the instructor's divider had. With this "European" tool it was not possible to measure distance. I copied the drawings with a ruler and angle metre. That is the reason why it took so long. I think the course instructor should have informed in the course description that you need this tool for the course. A reference to the manufacturer would also have been helpful. Students outside the US could then check BEFORE registering whether they can purchase this divider or not.
