The Azure Database Administrator implements and manages the operational aspects of cloud-native and hybrid data platform solutions built on Azure Data Services and SQL Server. The Azure Database Administrator uses a variety of methods and tools to perform day-to-day operations, including applying knowledge of using T-SQL for administrative management purposes.

This role is responsible for management, availability, security and performance monitoring and optimization of modern relational database solutions. This role works with the Azure Data Engineer role to manage operational aspects of data platform solutions.

Candidates for this role should understand all concepts covered in Exam DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals.

This exam measures your ability to accomplish the following technical tasks: plan and implement data platform resources; implement a secure environment; monitor and optimize operational resources; optimize query performance; perform automation of tasks; plan and implement a High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HADR) environment; and perform administration by using T-SQL.

This course was extremely fast-paced and didn't cover anything particularly useful. Additionally, the naming convention used was confusing and difficult to follow, with examples like "getcsdhihatemylife" (or something similar). Overall, I wouldn't recommend this course.

This course is fine for getting familiar with this material on a surface level, but expect to have to do some deep digging on your own to mine the real nuggets you need to pass the exam. There are a lot of such things you need to seek out and commit to memory, like the default values for various things. Those aren’t even mentioned here, but if you know Microsoft, anything is fair game in testing so you need to prepare. No regrets for purchasing this, there’s always plenty to learn and absorb.

To be honest, this course is good, but it is not reliable if you want to pass DP-300. The reason is that the instructor moves very quickly when performing tasks, and his explanations do not sync with the task he is performing. This course is not recommended for beginners', but it is perfect for those who have some basic understanding and want to learn more. Additionally, it isn't updated.

It's really good course if you want to have a general idea about DP-300 and putting you in right path for each subject of exam. I enjoyed it so much. With that said, this course, by itself, definitely not going to be enough for taking the exam, you need to go deep into each subject in order to be fully prepared. This course may cover 30%-40% of exam questions, so be prepared, and set the expectations accordingly.

This is a perfect summary review for the exam but not teaching material. If you studied first on your own and done the work before you buy this course and then watch this course you will benefit, however it wouldn't teach you much

This course needs more Demos. The course is mostly a recitation of several slides that contains few bullet points. The course alone provides little or no help in clarifying concepts. More Azure demos done by the instructor would be great. As a positive note, instructor's pronunciation is clear and his pace is good; there are better courses out there in terms of content, but their authors have a very thick and difficult to understand accent, this is not the case here.

this course contains a lot of theoretical part and very less labs. There has to be more focus on practical and labs for students to understand concepts. Pace of the course also needs to be improved

I can't see the bottom portion of the presenter's screen. Portion of the lecture the video stops but the audio continued. I filled in the blanks based upon the captions but may need correcting. Other than that, I am learning a lot and I will need to watch several more time to incorporate the new Azure DB jargon into my lexicon.
