Explain the common scenarios in workplace

Know the rights of worker, employee and employer

Description

Law has a very important role to play in what any HR manager does in a day, though it may not be always apparent. You actually require a good hold of different laws starting from the recruitment, to their onboarding, mandatory paper work, different benefits such as PF, ESI, bonus, gratuity etc.

Also you will need to ensure that the decision of dismissal is taken after proper disciplinary proceedings. If you do not follow proper procedures, the company may have to pay compensation for wrongful termination or reinstate the employee with back wages in some cases.

In fact, as you go up the chain, legal knowledge becomes indispensable. Let’s say you are drafting a leave policy for a company, and fail to check the relevant Shops and Establishments Act of the state, you will almost certainly get it wrong. The consequence can be paying heavy fines by the company if an inspector comes visiting, a potentially negative impact on the brand and embarrassment in front of other employees.

Also if you talk about different functions of HR such as Recruitment, Training and Development, Performance Appraisal, Grievance handling etc then you will notice that a part, small to big, is played by the respective managers as well. But labour laws are something which other people usually don’t have much of an idea and if you make this strong then this will give you a lot of importance and growth in that company.

This is a must in Human Resource Management

The course was good and informative. It could have been made more pleasant by providing examples and asking questions after one session. Basically, the presenter was just reading the slides. If materials are provided, we only could have done self-study.

I do not have course content. The person is only reading and the context is being lost. Not sure what are the points in conclusion.

Provisions are not being discussed at sufficient length taking into account all possible scenarios, and the quality of the subtitles is very poor.

Seems to be good one. Instead of highlighting the scanned pages, slides could have been made. But overall, its ok Thank you

The course was good and had all the important points and I felt the explanation could have been better, maybe more use of layman terms would have made things much better, other than that the content was good.

Most of the course is literally read by the speaker, Very little visualization, less case studies, real time situations. In this course the speaker is reading the law from a pdf and clearly little effort has been put in making this course interesting.

More details of practical application would be helpful. Also some details on good tools that can be used or are available for statutory compliance apart from USSP would be beneficial in implementation. Seemed like lot of reading and less of explanation. But overall I feel as an entrepreneur I got fairly a good idea of things that i need to keep in mind. Well done and thank you ?

The Diploma was helpful only because I went through the bare acts in depth on my own. The flow of the tutorials could be made better if the preliminary section of all of them where somehow clubbed as all of them are overlapping for at least 10 minutes. The slides and transcripts are not reader friendly or well formatted to look attractive. FAQs were limited and not addressed in detail. This should definitely have a worksheet or exam to actually check how much has a learner grasped.

I felt there could be example for each act or case study to make it more better to understand as the Posh act was described. Thank you

The narrator at times does not seem sure of what she wants to say. From an information perspective, it certainly helps. However, handy links and references could make this even more interesting.
