It’s a great tutorial except for the fact that she uses an expensive background and a very expensive plugin, no free options are given which I find disappointing. Also this is an old tutorial so photoshop version is not up to date and a lot of things have changed

I enjoyed this course. I've tried different methods for painting with the mixer brush. There is a great deal of useful information in this course. Lori is a very thorough teacher. I appreciate her sharing some of her personal brushes. Thank you.

Lori does an excellent job of explaining the different brushes and tools used for her digital paintings. Even though I do have quite a bit of knowledge of Photoshop and I am an artist I was able to learn many techniques from her that I will apply to build my own digital portfolio and career as a digital artist. Thank you.

This course content is outdated and not for the latest Photoshop CC 2022. The new brush engine does not support Lori Jill toolset. What you need to do is double click and import the given toolset into Photoshop CC 2022 brushes.
But, that is only the brushes incompatibility. You can still learn the painting technique after you imported the provided toolset.
I completed watching how Lori executed the underpainting. The instruction is clear and concise. However, I do not see anything new instruction that distinguishes this class from her other painting class. I upgraded to three stars giving that she focuses same painting process with different subject. I think I am both reviewing and learning something new that I missed from last video.

It's a good start for digital painting. Now I learned the techniques for painting pets, which I can start creating paintings for my own dog. Instructor is knowledgeable, but since the videos are outdated, some functions in photoshop CC are different from the current version. I had a hard time to look for the functions she used.

Great match for me. I'm very good on computers but I'm learning more about Photoshop than I thought I needed to know, and I totally get where you are sending this. I love some of the art some of your students have turned in and hope I can do even half as well. Cheers for the class!

I enjoyed the course very much and it helped a lot with a commissioned work. However, one has to have a good knowledge of Photoshop and be aware of the changes to the newest versions in order to fully benefit from the course.

I should have read the details better. This is basically just a course on converting your photos into a more painterly look. There was no drawing or painting from scratch. It’s just using tracing. The course title is pretty deceptive because of this.

I enjoyed the course very much. I am a novice to digital painting. I feel Jill did a wonderful job explaining the brushes and her techniques, as well as her reason for why she chose certain brushes. I am very appreciative she shared her brushes with her students, thus saving them time to create them. I also appreciate the short cut keys she explained in the different videos. There will be a moderate learning curve for me, but I think being able to go back and watch the tutorials will definitely aid in my understanding, but a lot of practice and patience is also necessary.
The only suggestion or recommendation I have is I found it difficult to see her workspace and the names of some of the tools she chose, which distracted me a bit as I was trying to follow along so I could easily find it in my workspace in Photoshop.

So far very helpful class. I bought when it was on a special reduced price, so I would have difficulty complaining if I could only use 1/2 of what Lori Presents here. Right now I'm partway through and the brush engine info is very helpful and oh my gosh, the action for and steps of doing the cloning. I have Corel Painter, but I don't know if I'll wind up using it much after seeing what you can do with PS and it's cloner. The Smudge brushers were made available at the end of the course to download, but not a lot on using them. Instead use the Mixer Brush...assuming you have that level of PS.

Lori Jill is an amazing instructor. She Clearly cares about her students and goes into great detail to assure that they completely understand every aspect of her techniques. I cannot brag on her enough. I pity the fool who misses any of her courses.
