Fascinating course with great examples. Really good teacher, easily presents rather complex concepts in an easily-graspable fashion. Well spoken, and very descriptive teacher makes this course a total pleasure to take. I only wish it were a little longer with more substance, as I truly enjoyed every moment of it and will undoubtedly be able to apply these teachings to my work.

I loved this course. Dr. Weinschenk not only explains everything in a useful and understandable manner, but also applies the same principies she's teaching to her own product - this course. Based on what I now know, this is a masterpiece!

This is the first course I have bought here in Udemy and I have no regrets buying this course. Though I have read most of the principles here in other books and blog articles, Susan helps me to understand them more and how can I apply them precisely to improve my digital products online.

Thanks Susan for the excellent course. (I've also enjoyed your books as well). I found your approach to be engaging, practical and easily digestible. Encouraging application of concepts and providing feedback to the learner was especially helpful. The quizzes were useful to reinforce concepts.

People are complicated living creatures and understanding how they reason is not an easy task. Lack of correct communication have been one of the reasons for the many challenges that faces human kind today. This course gave me great pleasure as the instructor not only is very knowledgable but also posseses a gift to teach. The course is very comprehensive but under the guidance of the enthusiastic Susan Weinschenk, the instructor, time flew and I found myself in that pleasurable state of mind that only the understanding of a complicated subject can give. If you are interested in understanding people better and thus be a master messenger, this course comes highly recommended.

Lecture are short and simple. Content is great. Wished there were 2-3 real life examples of how principals were applied good/poorly from the author. Also the exercise format is an image and not very engaging. A PDF with questions would have been good and a followup video of how the author filled out the exercise would have been a plus.

This course was so captivating and therefore kept me on my toes through each video. the fact that the videos were so short, it was easy to understand and follow. Susan's face and voice was also incredibly welcoming that i found it difficult not to look and listen.

Design for Engagement is excellent. For the uninitiated, the course provides a useful introduction to basic principles in psychology such as concession, reciprocity, and social validation and key human factors concepts such as affordance, progressive disclosure, and the limitations of human memory. With this information in hand, new designers will be well equipped to begin creating usable interfaces that real people will understand. For the experienced designer and human factors professional, the sections on stories, habits, and tricks of the mind provide fresh insight into the mystery of the human brain and how to ethically nudge users and customers to your desired call to action.
