I work as an Application Engineer selling pumps for municipal wastewater and wanted to know a high level of the process and where the pumps I sell are in that process. This is very helpful for that purpose.

There should be clear units what your're speaking of ? What if it is a greenfield project what assumptions should be taken for that when BOD is not available in the first place. Always show the formulas properly with answers and units of the answers. Don't be too Hasty

This was a great course, I learned designing steps with process write up and scheme for it. especially familiar with unit operation involved and design considerations. It is average. No blower sizing was discussed, no other technology for aeration was discussed, no BNR discussed, other parameters and key design criteria were not discussed, forgot about chlorination, filter press was not initially discussed, further technicalities were not discussed. it is too fast, i assume the neophytes may not easily catch up.

A very well organised course that covers both the basics and the advanced elements design. What I find remarkable was that rather than abstract suggestions, thumbrules and 'useful pointers', the author gives exact formulas to size unit operations. Perfect one for ppl looking oiut for an opportunity to work in water treatment field. One suggestion to the author: would have been even better if SBR technology was also covered. Hopefully you will cover it in another course! :-)

- thanks to refresh my knowledge. - case study attached is not enough to cover the course due to: 1- M calculation result is not correct , 25/0.1 = 250 not 208 . 2- Screen Details such screen width and determine number of bars up to motor power for screen motor are not included. 3- sizes of aeration and sedemintation tanks need mor details for easy drawing. 2- all depths calculation are related to hydraulic flow diagram and process hydraulic friction which are not considered in the course, are very important in design calcultions to determin volume of each tank . 3- I recommended to add one more case study with higher capacity ( 50000 m3/d) with design details including items ubove and hydraulic flow diagram.
