Graphic Design For Real Beginners

its my first time taking a graphic design course and it has taught me the basic and when I see a design I look at it with a different eye.

I had a very good experience. I would have preferred more design lessons and a bit less of the critiquing cards because most of them see to make the same points over and over.

I am enjoying this course! It is perfect for where I am right now...a beginner who has designed all of my own graphics for my personal blog images. I am learning why I have designed some things instinctively and how I can greatly improve my design skills.

It has nice information but I think it's a little too shallow. The tutor covers every bit of information too fast and then repeat all of it in a video in a way I can only stare at the same images and not get all the concepts in my mind. The reviews part is interesting but again: too redundant, and there's more to watch on the reviews than the rest of the entire course. And he's also saying the same stuff over and over throughout the reviews, it gets boring really fast.

I like its simplicity - the design tips are explained clearly and come with good examples to make it easy for you to relate them to your own ideas/work.

I'm thrilled to have found this course on Udemy because it's packed with all the information I studied many years ago but have forgotten or remember vaguely. The instructor does a great job of teaching this complex subject, and there is no doubt that she is not only knowledgeable but a master graphic designer. I would have given​ this course 5 stars, except the sound quality is poor in some of the videos.

The content was interesting with some good tips for the beginner and, so far, there were some tips even for me who has a little more experience. Ironically, bearing in mind the course is about graphic design, the visual pace and voice pace was tedious. The narrator needs to speed up and the voice rather monotone to listen too as well as remaining on one visual for too longr -over 4 minutes. There would be more visual interest if there were a number of different examples to show. I had to skim through as I 'got it' early on.

For anyone that wants to learn the basics of design, this is a great course. The course teaches practical theories of design and the personal feedback from the instructor on your final project is worth the price of admission.

Excellent summary and exposition of basic graphic design fundamentals. Instructor is knowledgeable, engaging, and supportive.

This course really helped me to understand what Graphic Design really is, underneath the many applications of it which we see around us every day. Plus it contains useful practical examples and reviews on how to apply it.

I have always had a keen desire to do graphic design, but the principals behind it alluded me. This course is an awesome guide to those principals.

I enjoyed the entire course. I am a self-taught graphic & web designer, so it was very helpful to get "formal" design terminology, definitions, and tips. I especially enjoyed the logo and business card critiques. The design strategies were priceless. I took lots of notes and will use this information with current and future clients.
