Description

**Course Updated - Nov 2021**

World finally understands the essential role of design. Products look better than ever, interfaces feel intuitive, and companies are hiring designers at an increasing rate. But, the designer’s role has been changing over last few years. It’s no longer enough to iterate and understand your user, instead in today’s world, designers should be able to do both – identify problems and build solutions, which will increase their worth by at least 10 times for any company. When you can do both, you can do things that no one else can do and you will be a unique asset in your company.

There’s a shift under way in large organizations, one that puts design much closer to the center of the enterprise. But the shift isn’t about aesthetics. It’s about applying the principles of design for better user experience. This new approach is in large part a response to the increasing complexity of modern technology and modern business.

Most people don't think about how poorly designed everyday interactions are until they learn the principles of good design and user experience, many of which are not intuitive. You don't need to be born thinking about this stuff in order to become a successful designer, it's a skill that can be developed like anything else. Passion often follows from knowledge and expertise.

In this course, I have explained the entire design process which when integrated into your product can create an amazing user experience. You will also learn to approach a problem in a systematic manner. Working in a series is the most important stage of the design process. The ability to experiment, to value and learn from mistakes, and build on the experience achieved is the hallmark of a the truly successful and creative individual, whatever the field.   So, what are you waiting for?? Get Enrolled and start your journey today… Happy learning my dear friends. See you in the course

I don´t mean to rant at this lady or her course, but she did ask for my honest opinion. I think the course was too basic, it was essentially a common sense class. Anyone who ever dealt with a problem solving situation could assume most of the course´s content. I did try to watch the classes as they played, but it was unbearable. Only at the bitter end there were some real showcases of design usage on brands. Speaking of branding, for a course that adresses design, i saw no identity or creativity on the making of the videos, so i can only assume she made no effort to brand her own course. I do not like trolls that diss on people on the internet for fun, but as i purchased the course and did not get my money´s worth, i think i should leave my honest feedback.

The course is very basic talking about visual design only. However, there is no talk about usability (defining user persona, identifying the problems for specific user groups, user interactions/flow). The example about building a book shelf is a solution to an incomplete defined problem for a non existent user. In other words, she never defined the users and their specific needs.

The first part of the course could be shortened and more emphasis with detailed examples could be laid on the latter part of the course

The instructor is engaging and really fun to watch. The information and concepts she outlines are practical and make a lot of sense. She takes what was intuitive for me and gives it a process and structure, which will help me as I collaborate with others. Also, I appreciate her precise enunciation of each word and her engaging demeanor. Great course for design newbies like me.

Loving the info so far but I do admittedly find it humorous that a course on design is so unpalatable. I don't mind blandness so much, but I don't think a lot of people share this view. Requires more visual stimuli to keep me engaged, my mind is wandering a bit trying to flesh out the concepts visually because the course isn't doing it for me and because of this I'm spending more time trying to make sure I'm absorbing the info and it's a bit inorganic. Really appreciating things so far though

Susmita Dutta is very nice and seems to know the subject well. The course is good and fulfills what promises, but I missed more illustrations and practical examples. The white background throughout the presentation could be replaced by examples and bullet points of the topics presented. I recommend the course for all who want to delve into the concepts of design.

Insightful and full of good examples. Could have used more pictures to drive home several points and facilitate deeper understanding of the concept.

Excellent and refreshingly different from typical management lectures, the illustration in the introductory lecture is so insightful and by itself can inspire and spark creative approaches albeit in a systematized way ... Recommended watching!

Lack of exercises or additional references. The video format has been the same since the intro video and it is starting to become repetitive and dull. The visual aids used by the person are basically stock photos.

Quality of Content needs improvement. Needs to reduce the talk and show the design approaches being applied to real life and relevant examples. And stop those cliche statements.

This course portraits great concept of product designing using design thinking aspect. I always had an understanding that product designing and design thinking are totally different things, but now I know how are they interlinked to each other. Although it does involves a lot of work, but this is for sure a good course to start with.
