What you will learn

To handle databases and results in JASP

To perform basic and advanced data analysis with JASP

To construct an validate complex predictive models with JASP

To find patterns in the data with JASP

Why take this course?

JASP is a free multi-platform open-source statistics package, developed and continually updated by a group of researchers at the University of Amsterdam. It has a simple drag and drop interface, easy access menus, intuitive analysis with real-time computation, and a display of all results. JASP can perform from basic data analysis (descriptive statistics such as central tendency, dispersion, histograms, scatter plots, box-plots, raincloud plots, comparisons between groups and between measures such as t-test, Analysis of Variance, non-parametric tests such as Mann-Whitney, Wilcoxon, Kruskal-Wallis, Friedman, parametric and non-parametric correlations, simple and multiple regressions, linear mixed models, generalized linear mixed models) to more advanced data analysis such as factorial analysis, networks analysis, meta-analysis, structural equation modeling, visual modeling, machine learning and many more.

I think that everybody who is interested in data analysis deserves to know about JASP and to learn how to use it.

I invite you to join me on this learning journey. At this moment, there are several analytical modules from JASP for which I have already generated learning tutorials, but this is an ongoing process, and this course is growing from one week to another.

I need a companion on this journey. So what are you waiting for? Let's go!

I quite liked the course, especially the part on ANOVAs was quite helpful understanding the mechanisms, post hoc tests and so on. Also I've learned a lot on assumption checks and how to handle violations. Some databases did not match the ones used in the videos, which made it difficult to follow along but that did not impair the learning too much.

Very well explained and useful for us who have discovered JASP as a decent free alternative to SPSS. But I consider it would be better if the exercises come with their respective answers, so we can get an immediate feedback on how are we performing.

I always loved managing databases but MS Access was too complicated. Jasp is the real thing. Thankyou

Very useful! It might seem scary to start leaning how to use a new data analysis program, but this course make everything easy and provides a great way to understand what you need to know.

Is awesome especialy for psychologists as a wonderful alternatives to other expensive statistical programs, to finding a good data analysis software, basic data analyses, descriptive statistics, comparisons measures, correlations, regressions. The tutorials contain brief presentations of the basic principles of statistical tests and also work materials and additional learning exercices.Accessing this course is an opportunity that I recommend to my colleagues and people who study/research the field of psychology, everybody who is interested in data analysis. Congratulations!
