Good course, would be better if it was updated to Darktable 4.4.2 (which is the current version for me) as a lot of the Darkroom classes are outdated.

Great and useful course! It covers all the basics that every Darktable beginner needs to know. The most common modules explained in detail and shown on the examples. Hope to see Darktable Advance course on Udemy from Mr. Parker in the near future. Strongly recommend this course.

The course is good. However, it should contain reference material for the latest version of Darktable. I'm using Darktable v4.2.1.

There are useful tips but the course needs to be updated, many new features are not mentioned and some features are no more applicable, only a handful of modules are shown and it lacks examples and challenges compared to other courses. I will update the review if this course improves in future

Very good and understandable. Constructive critique: It would much better if the course is updated where the modules are deprecated due to darkroom changes, it was hard to follow there

Overall an excellent course. While I'll need to go back over it several times to get it clear in my head, this is not an adverse reflection on Chris's ability as an instructor. I find his style of presentation measured and methodical, giving quite complex info at a pace and in a manner that's easy to absorb. Having gone through the entire course once now I feel far more confident to tackle darktable head on. Keep up the great work Chris.

Fundamentally a sound course. The basics are present, but it is distracting when Darktable has change since the version covered in the course. It is not sufficient to just insert screens that say "go and look up the changes".

Improved my skills and confidence but was limited by the fact that the images didn't always match when loaded (presumably due to settings within the software). Also a few of the videos covered tools that no longer exist within Darktable making it difficult to follow along. I think more time at the start looking at settings would be helpful. Response to query was brilliant though and can't fault that. Also not everyone uses Windows or an Apple - had quite a few hoops to jump through to try and get compatible versions running in order to do it.

I took a photography class at the university last semester and I had a Lightroom license for free, then it ended when my class finished, so I started looking for options to Lightroom and found Darktable to be an excellent one. Then I came across this course and it taught me everything I needed to start editing again. This is an excellent choice to learn Darktable. Thanks Chris!
