What this course is not:

I do not cover programming fundamentals or python syntax. You do not need to be an expert by any means but you should be comfortable with the basics of at least one programming language so that we can focus on Django and not programming in general. (You can take this course if you're new to programming but expect to look up some of the basics on your own as this will not be covered.)

I may not be able to look at your code and tell you what's wrong. I will if I can, but keep in mind that I may not be able to spend too much time debugging your code.

If you're looking for advanced topics, you may want to download the source code of this course first and see if you could produce it on your own.

But, if you want to add Django to your tool belt - remember it's used on some of the busiest sites on the net - and you haven't yet taken the official tutorial, you need to download this course this minute.

Very good introduction to django. Had to google a bit to get the necessary soft install on my mac, but after you will be able to build django applications in no time. The instructor goes to the point, explaining with a simple example the foundation of the framework, leaving details (and there are many as django seems to be flexible and powerful) for later depending on your application. Very good english spoken, easy to follow... and free! thank you.

You can get the same exact information and more if you can read online documentation. The "Polls" application is where everyone starts in learning the introduction to python, its problem is being to specific and does not cover anything other that (Who are you going to vote for? and Vote answer). nothing more. The instructor though does a great job in explaining the content of the tutorial. It is a great starting point for Django learning.

Being a django newbie, I had started the official django tutorial on the djangoproject site, was understanding only about 20% of stuff and just pushing through it(couldn't go further that part 5). And then I came across this; course is well structured, instructor is really clear in communication and there are some additional things too. Overall I could absorb almost all of the content(with some amount of googling of course). Ready for something more complex :) PS-The generic views part could be improved

I think the author went straight to the most important concepts of Django, the only thing I think should be reworked is the Generic views section, it was very fast and no explanations were given about the benefits of using them Other than that, its a cool introduction to Django

I really can't recommend this course for anyone using x64 Windows 10 - the dev environment is next to impossible to get running the way the instructor suggests. The commands error out and Visual Studio versions need to be installed with the right order and settings. The MYSQL connector doesn't install with the latest Python and everything goes wrong from there. That said - so far the lectures are great and I'm sure if you're on Linux or Mac you'll have no problems.

Only recently i had dived into django, and most of the tutorials on the web, youtube and django website was kinda like hard to understand. But this tutorial simplified a lot of concepts for me. Its a great tutorial for beginners. Five Stars!!!

As an introductory course, it does it's job. Personally, I felt it helped me understand the basics of the django framework. With the exception of a few 'glitches', like some videos being out of order ( it was fixed ) and a small piece of code that was not very well explained in the video, the course was great. I must mention that the question I had was quickly answered, and the instructor is involved with the audience. Overall, good course.
