This course, and the instructor, has helped me to reach a better understanding of objective-c and code in general. It was easy to learn and to keep up with the instructor. My only problem was that it was to easy to get distracted while the instructor was going over what the code did. My suggestion would be that beginners try to pay attention, while more experienced coders could probably skip the explanations.

I got few things that a UI designer need. Like using graphic elements. But felt too many coding related video.

I feel like like there should be more lectures about continuing and taking the xcode programming forward!

This is a great course for someone who is a beginning programmer and also beginning iPhone development.

Bear in mind that this course is a 'starter course' ... therefore if you expect to make anything more sophisticated than a calculator app you are likely to be disappointed... this is just a 'taster' which is why it is free. From this you can expect to see the level of attention to detail, and production quality of the videos... but it will not show you the finer details of xcode or objective-c (hopefully this comes later). Overall, if you have some programming experience it is unlikely you will benefit from anything beyond the 'coffee' tutorial... but if you are looking it make very simple apps, this may well be all you need....

Paul does a very good job of giving you a crash course primer on Obj-C / iOS Programming. I enjoyed the combination of lecture followed by the actual X-code implementation lessons. If you're interested in iOS programming, take this course.

The course is very well structured, the language used is clear and easy to understand even if coming from a less technical background. Total recommandation!

Thank you for the course, it was very easy to follow and your details in explanation is very much help. Something that was forgotten from other teacher is how to see how it works how the program read the codes, and you teach us how to debug the code, the use of breakpoint. It's very good and I would advice to student to purchase Paul Soft other iOS courses.

I have tried books and other videos, and for someone that had not programmed in years, this was an excellent introduction course. I completed the course in 3 days, and the train, sample, practice format that are eSy to follow along were effectively presented. I feel I have a better foundation to go through the more advanced materials I have acquired.

Good introductory course for XCode 5 and iO7. Combination of lectures and coding is a very good to learn. Lectures: - I found them very good, except for Lecture 15 on Global Variables - that was messy and did not make me any wiser Xcode programming: - Way too fast coding and explaining, especially Lecture 5, 10 and 17. I mean waaaay too fast!! You have to slow down as most people will follow along in coding and try to do the same as the teacher does, this gives the best learning. Here, I had to stop the video several times in every session to keep up. That should not be necessary, The teacher should be able to slow down to a pace so the students can keep up with the coding - will give much better learning effect. That is the main reason for only giving this course a 3 stars

I've got a plan to create some Mobile Apps next year. So this is a great course that make me understand how to create iPhone Apps from scratch. I don't like much for coding. But If I have to do it, then I'll do it. That's all. Anyways, I'm looking forward for his complete course in the future. Thanks Paul :)

This course will help you get started in app development. It showed me how to set up the latest software on my mac computer and a little about making an app. in section 2. Section 3 thru 8 are just lessons in basic programming. Variables, types, bools, functions and loops. I wish there had been more about app deveilopment and less about general c++ stuff. I did enjoy the refresher though. thanks!
