Create a Python Powered Chatbot in Under 60 Minutes

This is my rating at the end of installation of software. The tutor methodology is very pleasing at this stage. Well done.

Very good course! I would suggest a couple of things. (1) A follow up course for folks who want to understand the code (2) Bonus material in this course that shows how data can be returned. For example, ask the chatbot "What is the current price of Microsoft stock" and the chatbot would return a value. (3) Bonus material in this course, or a follow up course, that details how you can program follow up questions. For example you ask the chatbot "tell me what the weather is going to be tomorrow" and the chatbot would reply with a list of cities to click on to get the weather tomorrow in that city.

Nothing is working in the example. Terribly rushed and poor course. Asking for my money back on this one.

I am mainly satisfied, though the author could make some small improvements. There was no instruction for the Mac versions of the python software, and in fact the recommended editor, Atom, will no longer be supported at the end of 2022. Also, I was unable to find a way to incorporate images or URL links into the database. The author's instructions did not produce image rendering or web links. Much could be added to this course, but it does serve as a good introduction to using a pre-designed chatbot.

Not satisfied at all, there's no explanation of the code. Just an already written code downloading and how to execute it.

Having installed Atom and Python and Git, but ( surprise-not :)), python version 3.10.4, 'python' doesn't bring up 'atom-python-run' in Packages. The solution to this problem is to search Packages, not for, as suggested, 'python' , but ,logically, 'atom-python-run', which it downloads From then everything works fine. localhost all works fine. Webpage displayed etc. However when we come to Python Anywhere, what the instructor suggests you do and what happens, bifurcates. For example training- the reply is returned, there is no longer an need to train your bot, Python takes care of training, etc. When you come to the final step, of course, your webpage returns (expectedly) Internal Server Error "The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request. Either the server is overloaded or there is an error in the application." To try to be fair to the instructor, I spent four hours attempting this task three times and double-checking every step of the way. Nothing works. Waste of 4 hours. I think the problem occurs around 4:45 in Python Anywhere video , when no code is generated. But what do I know?

This is useful, because the user might be at any time chat with robot, but the owner might not be available at all the time.

Fascinating! But, it takes longer than one hour to finish. I am editing this review and lowering the rating by 1 star, because the instructions to install the chatbot on the PythonAnywhere server still do not work, but the rest of the course was all worth it.

I was expected to explain complete project structure and create a project from scratch instead of cloning from github. Beginners couldn't understand concept behind the chatbot and configurations of that

Good to get started. Would have loved couple of videos explaining logic in train.py, trainlog.py & chat.py

It is a good starter course on chatbot. Clear explanation and sufficient resources. It would be nice to have a follow-up course that provides more advanced features and integration with other chat platforms (e.g. facebook/Slack etc). Though it has the requirement.txt file to specify the required packages, it might also be good to ensure the course is future proof. Some features do not work with later versions of the packages.

Great, took more than an hour, but the content was enough to understand it without it having overwhelming detail. no technical issues and it ran perfect. I even embed mine to my own personal webpage.

The course is crisp and clear on how you go about creating a simple chatbot and deploy the same. Looking forward to some complex bot creations course. Some details on the packages and algorithms used would have helped a lot.

This is probably the best, most straight-forward, no-nonsense, information-packed, thorough, productive course I've taken in a long time. You get all the software you need (free) and instructions on installing. He gives specific trouble-shooting information for common problems you might run into on installation. He provides the python framework and shows step-by-step instructions on how to train and customize a chatbot. It's a great and really fun course I'd recommend to anyone interested in AI, bots, etc.

Crisp and made things look very easy in building a Bot , additionally It would be more helpful if you can explain the code from Git a bit though as an option so that people like me who want to dig further deep into the basics of your code would have greater learning .
