Create a 2D Animation with Blender

The course did not meet the set expectation. Character creation and rigging not explained. The course explains animating already rigged characters. The link to download characters directly takes you to Instructor's YouTube channel where you can BUY different assets but none related to the course. I am unable to proceed with the course. Lot of gaps.

Would be nice if you added a list of things we may need before we take the class , not being able to follow step by step killed it for me..

This course annoyed me to no end. The instructor half-explains what he is doing; he simply flies through his actions. I guess he believes that repeating his actions verbally every time he does it is, in his mind, an explanation. Sorry, but I don't need to hear "Control-R, ten, enter" over and over again for 20 different models. It's annoying. He also fumbles over which characters are supposed to be in the scene. The constant coughs are a turnoff and *very* unprofessional. There are missing files and no explanation of the audio that he abruptly added to the scene. Finally, this is supposed to be an animation course covered over 24 lessons. So why did we spend the first nine lessons on modeling? This course fails on all points.

Excellent course. Very informative. Great stuff. Lots of info to take in. Could be too complex for beginner.

I have taken several course in Blender up to this point. I'm here to learn the basics of animation. So far I'm not that impressed with how the creator is building their objects. For example, working with several active identical windows at the same time and trying to keep them in sync isn't efficient at all. It would be better to work with a series of arrays or linked duplicates so you're always together. If this is an issue later for animation, you could always separate them. In addition, the author starts with a model of a 3D figure (just for scaling) that we have not made yet. The course should have started with building a basic 2D character without rigging that would be used as a model for the rest of the course. I'm hoping the section on rigging will show me how to properly animate a more complicated scene (or seriies of smaller scenes) and how to manage keyframes, etc. If that proves informative, the course will have been worth it.

Not as well prepared as i would like him to be ... a lot of mistakes or not being able to find the menu item he wants right off ... i would like this to have been more practiced and prepared instead of so "off the cuff"

Nice...great course, but instructor should slow down his speed, and discuss which commands he using & rationale behind that. Sometimes its hard to follow what is going on the screen.

This was a very helpfull course for me, i know understand how to create a short 2D animation in Blender.

This is a great course - But I would have preferred it if He had explained how to make bones within the characters. Instead He just offers Downloads after the fact of the characters pre-made. Reverse engineering is not so hard I guess... - Le
