This course has been designed to simplify your learning process as much as possible. The goal of this course is to make you practice to make and speak Chinese expressions on your own with only a few selected basic words. You are going to practice 1,241 variations through 80 practices based on the aspects of grammar covered in Core Chinese Course 1 and 2. very slow, stale, not a good format to teach a language. huge waste of time by branding at start of every 2min segment.

I stayed in China for many years, so I know a lot of chinese words but before this course I have never learned the grammar. Then upon taking this course many expressions suddenly make a lot of sense to me, and I'am enjoying this 100%. Besides, the instructors are really good and I like the course structure focussing on practices. Intonations are very important in the chinese language, so it is really an opportunity to learn that with the practices. Thanks a lot for this wonderful course! Regards!

Generally okay, as I would expect, however some grammatical points lack explanation or seem incorrect. For instance at the end of the Beginners Core Chinese 1, phrases are used such as "I can't go to Beijing unless I am a student" begin: rúguǒ wǒ búshì xuéshēng where I would expect rúguǒ wǒ shì xuéshēng. The first part of the sentence, as the course suggests it, reads as "Unless I am not a student". This may be correct in Chinese grammar but this is not explained at all, so it leads me to believe that the instructor's wording is incorrect. (Added): There is no pinyin text as with the other courses, which makes it difficult to take and revisit notes. Very disappointed as this was included in the first course.

Great way to learn listening, sentence structure and tenses by rote. Very simple grammar and vocabulary used in this course so don't expect to gain much in this area.

I think this course is inefficient. It involves too much repetition, too much talking in English, and the intro music/review where they say what they will teach feels too long.

Très bien. Une petite explication concernant la structure répétée au début pronom + weile + ...+ faire qqchose mais non apparente dans la dernière phrase aurait été bienvenue. Cependant, connaissant tous ces mots, c'est intéressant de les assembler dans ces phrases de plus en plus longues, de les écouter et repérer le weile, pour tout comprendre à l'écoute, et aussi bien sûr de s'entraîner à répéter en respectant les tons et en songeant aux mots qu'on peut substituer dans le type de la phrase. (Ex je suis allé à Pékin pour boire le meilleur café --en Italie ... manger la meilleure pizza! etc etc) La prononciation est très claire et la légère accélération à partir de la 3e répétition est plus naturelle.
