Not at all what I thought it was but it's loaded with amazing resources. Great instructor to learn from. Course is a bit lengthy and repetitive. Could definitely be streamlined a lot. Overall it's worth the time. Glad I completed the course.

It was a pretty good match. I've owned businesses before, so some of it was a review, but that's OK. What I'm still missing is what to charge people. Is there a range? Hourly or by project? When would I decide to charge hourly or by project? I don't agree with the lecture discussing that I charge my clients based on my own personal financial needs. Did I miss something there? All in all, I liked her enthusiasm, she seems very down to earth.

Very basic, generic advice. Seems to be geared to those who have no clue in the first place. The business plan is very poor and not consulting specific. No mention of what costs should be considered when starting a consulting business. She keeps talking about going to a bank for a loan - why do I need a loan if I am a home based consultant?

I loved this course, my first on Udemy and it wont my last. I ve done few online courses in the past on other platforms, most were so boring and like a mountain to climb, this course was different and very enlightening. I liked the way Louise presenting this course, the pace and the way she present the course feel very live. What I liked most is the application of technology in real life. Possibly not everything in the course applicable to me as I am in different region in the world , but I have an idea now how things are done and I can decide later what short cuts I make to my consultancy business. Half way through the course, I decided I need to go through the course once more, so I skipped the assignment and left them for the rerun of the course. Thanks Louise for the great course.

Instructor is very detailed and thorough. If you are unfamiliar with starting a business, you will receive good information. Unfortunately, this course isn't what I was looking for. I mistakenly thought it was going to be about the actual consulting process, not about setting up a business.

Very drawn out. Uses the line "I want you to get thinking about" every other sentence. Provides information that most people could figure out freshly out of high school on their own. Some examples: -clear clutter -reduce interruptions -have office supplies -every minor detail and check box for setting up a calendar event -sitting for too long can be problematic Don't you think that someone looking at pursuing consulting would at least have the acumen to figure those things out on their own. I was hoping this would be actual suggestions for business. Holy. If people don't know those things they should NOT be consulting.

I feel Phase 4 and Phase 5 were a little ambiguous and did not exactly communicate the idea of a comprehensive strategy. I personally read a lot about strategy and hence do have an idea about what I need to do in these two phases. The Initial 3 phases are informative and can really put a person in the right direction. I would still recommend this course to those in need.
