This is a very good tutorial to help one understand the basics of the software. The instructor speaks very clearly and it is easy to follow what he is doing. The only problem is that he is sometimes a bit hasty and therefore often makes small mistakes. And sometimes I felt like he was trying to explain something that he didn't quite understand either. For example, the difference between metal-rough and glossiness-specular.

A little quick, but that may or may not be good depending on what you're looking for. I am very familiar with Marmoset personally, but some of the features I find confusing just because I never took the time to understand how everything is correlated within the tool. This course helped me better understand how the tool works and made it easier to approach. I also learned Marmoset can do a lot of things I was unaware of. All in all, this is a good course if you just need a quick walkthrough and are already familiar with a lot of concepts in regard to 3D modeling and game development.

The course provided a very good introduction into working with Marmoset Toolbag. It was great that the course was divided into different chapters, each focusing on a different topic. I hope to see separate courses about these topics that even more in depth in the future. Particularly the texturing and character rendering chapters were very interesting for me. The one thing critic on the course would be that the instructor sometimes seemed to go faster than he could handle himself, resulting in spelling mistakes that subsequently had to be fixed. This happened so frequently, that it started to be a bit distracting. Also the amount of folders that the instructor went through when importing or exporting files seemed a bit much. No major critiques, but I did lose focus a couple of times because of them.

Very good overall. Information is well presented, but the instructor tends to talk very fast at times. This doesn't take away from the value of the course, I just find myself having to replay things.

I would say it was a nice course for me. I needed a faster way to render for my portfolio. Maya can take bit longer and be resource intensive when it comes to realtime viewing the renders and tweaking stuff on the fly. I liked the explanations of Maps, PBR, metallic roughness and specular glossiness. The section on Camera, aperture and focal length was also refreshing. Loved the lighting part as well, the cinematic effects and everything. I knew about setting up 3 point light setups but it was nice to see how other people approach things. I skipped the baking, texturing, eye creation and interior parts of the course for now as I dont need them right now, but I might return later to watch those parts as well soon. The language was sometimes a but sketchy and fast, couldn't get some words in the beginning but after a few lectures you get a hang of it. Overall if anyone wants to learn Marmoset Toolbag to showcase their portfolio, this is a good course for that.

Excelente curso, bien explicado y con un gran contenido, seria genial que tuviera subtítulos en español pero se entiende a la perfección

This was a very interesting and helpful course in learning Marmoset Toolbag. It took many many hours of watching youtube videos to try and get a handle on Marmoset and put it into a very concise course that gave me a very good foundation. Thank you.

So far I'm barely into the course and it is pretty good. I like this course more so far then any other one of his courses because the videos are typically less then 15 minutes as far as I have seen. Some of his other courses go above 40 minutes for a few of the videos, which I do not like. So so far it is a good experience

Good basic coverage of marmoset toolbag 4 and what it can achieve. Would have been nice to get more in depth with the painting and texturing tools, to see how the match up against substance painter. But it is a great start to allow artists to continue experimenting.

Great experience. If you are seriously interested in 3d you should include Toolbag into your toolbag. It is the best way to learn Toolbag.

This was my first paid online course for software instruction. Mostly I use material from the software vendor or Youtube but there is not much out there on Toolbag version 4. Overall I'd say it was worth the discounted price. It provided a good overall picture of the software and some examples of how to apply Toolbag 4 to different projects. The information on texturing the eye was something I had not seen before (e.g., the use of parallax). So there was definitely some content beyond the videos available on the Marmoset website. The course had a very casual, first take feel to it, however. The instructor came across as very familiar with the general concepts but on several occasions was not sure how to do certain things. Also, while I understand that it is impossible to cover every in Toolbag 4 since it has a huge capability, there were certain topics that were important to me but not covered. For example, no mention of render passes or how to use them and no mention of how to export maps for use in other programs.

This is in general a good course and i learned some things about Marmoset i found the creators of the App have done in a not so straight forward way, and frankly a bit slow and tiresome to listen to This course however has a few "flaws" that could be made better. This is perhaps more of a personal taste than a general flaw, but still: The teaching style here with speaking faster than lightning and sometimes blurry, repeating words mixed with slow pauses made me fall a sleep a few times resulting in having to rewind lectures to grasp the main process of the workflow. From a technical standpoint i would have wanted a more focused presentation on Marmoset and it's features, leaving out what normal maps is feels like such a thing in favour to how inputmaps can be used more than a necessity for generators to work properly Knowing how Substance painter work made me figure this out by a little trial and error.. this should have been added here to get a more solid rating.. Texturing over an already textured model you need to add those textures here.. it was not easy to see this logic at first I'm a little mixed not setting a 3 on this course for the general impression, the teaching style that was tiresome e.t.c but for a "higher rating" these above things is absolutely needed to address imho.. So 3 stars for the general impression, but 4 stars for the technical aspects.. also 4 stars could have been a 5 if details about the app had been fleshed out. Cheers
