Why take this course?

This is a Beginner to Advanced level course on .NET 8 that will take you from basics all the way to advance mode. This course is for anyone who is new to ASP.NET Core or who is familiar with ASP.NET and wants to take the first stab at understanding what is different in ASP.NET Core. From there we would be building multiple projects to understand all concepts in .NET 8 as we will deploy our final application on Azure as well as IIS.

Throughout this course, we would understand the evolution of ASP.NET Core, and then we would take a look at the modified files and folder structure.

We would then take a look at new concepts in ASP.NET Core
We would build a small Razor application with CRUD operations using Entity framework for integration with the database.
We would build our Bulky Book website where we will learn advanced topics in ASP.NET MVC Core
Finally, we will deploy our Bulky Book website on Microsoft Azure and IIS.

idk, why people are leaving reviews that are stating this course isn't detailed enough, this instructor is very detailed and leaves nothing to chance. After he goes over 1 or even 2 examples, then he gives you the chance to apply what you have learned. I highly recommend this class to anyone who needs to learn / play catch up with changes to .NET MVC Core tech stack.

A lot of information, almost no explanation. The flying thru the bootstrap styling is cool, but if a person has no idea this makes everything harder. If you present a small section for bootstrap at the start of the course and then maybe use less bootstrap during programing it will be great. And last stop doing something for the sake of doing it, only to change it afterwards.

This course is not really maintained well. whatever have in this course is good and easily understandable. But there are few outdated packages used in this course and cant move forward using older packages.

This is a review of the old course. Its is very good and there is a wealth of material here and the use case is sufficiently complex to illustrate many features. The TA, Angela is very responsive and helpful. This course provides an excellent work out in building a crud app with various joined db tables, using entity framework with various business case workflows. The section on Identity is very invaluable. The addition of stripe was great. As this is a course built around an example there is some theory but it is mainly practical in focus. Complex areas like Identity are not covered in depth but we do have authentication + authorization and role management which is good and well thought out workflows around them. The Azure section was somewhat confusing as I felt it could have used a bit more theory and be at a slower pace as there are many dialogs/sections to complete in both the Azure Portal and when publishing in visual studio. Although by its very nature this is probably what Azure is like. The code is not production quality (as expected as this is a tutorial) but passwords and app secret management is very poor, although Bhrugen has a separate Appsettings and Secrets course for this, I think a call out with a passing mention as to what to do even if not covered in detail should have been included. Overall very a great learning resource and worth my time. Thank you

Nope the instructor went too fast and the writing was too small. It was impossible to follow him in doing the project at that speed. He didn't explain himself at all.

very repetitive, a lot of concepts are not explained very much especially in the identity section. I agree with others that the instructor moves way too fast at times and also copy pastes too much. This leads to constant pausing and rewinding which gets super frustrating over time. If he slowed down a bit to allow the viewer to type along more closely while explaining a bit more, I think the course would be a lot better. 100% not worth the money
