Cisco CCNP Route (300-101): The Complete Course

cool stuffs and he is a good tutor. He knows the concept. the course is not bored and it's a really cool stuffs.

I really liked this course because of straight-to-the-point explanations. Laz is a great instructor, know him from many older courses. What I liked in older courses he had more hands on labs from ground up, in this one I found myself kinda wondering into the google for research wich is maybe for the best :) Overall very informative & entertaining.

Am still going through the course but Laz is covering everything that is required to pass the test. Broken down into easy to understand chapters. Keep it Simple! Is Laz's motto and he does, making it easy to understand for the student.

Laz shows the relevant commands in his lecture and thats helpful. He’s reinforcing what ive already read.

The course covers the overall kmowledge requirement but but fail meet my learning needs. The instructor could have spent a little more time explaining topics like BGP, VRF, IP SLA, NSSA, total stub areas and DMVPN. Overall, the course cover a lot in a short time. It probily would be a good idea to stick to one simulator.

Compared to his CCNA course this one seems like things are getting glossed over. He hits all the major points for the test from what I can tell but doesn't fully explain all the processes that make them work. That could just be due to the way the CCNP tests are set up though.

I'd enjoyed the CCNP Route Course, it's a great re-freshener towards the CCNP topics. It helps when the instructor is passionate about teaching, I highly recommend.

I've always been a big fan of Lazaro's teaching style and videos. This series has good quality material; however, I must warn as I did on for the CCNP Switch series, this series is not enough to even get you close to passing the Route exam. It took me three attempts to pass the Switch exam and I thought I knew exactly how to avoid the same mistakes and pass the Route exam on the first try. I read through Chris Bryant's book at least 5 times until I was able to repeat everything in my head, I purchased the Boson simulator and test questions and went through that at least 10 times so I could understand the concepts and get my fingers used to typing the commands, and I also watched this video series. None of the above 3 things helped in any way to prepare me for exam day. Pretty much a quarter of the way through the exam I had completely given up hope. There were questions concerning detailed information on PPPOE and NAT-PT (which Chris Bryant says isn't even used that much anymore). There was nothing on MPLS and very little on EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP save for the simulations. Seriously, Cisco screwed up royally with this exam. If they want people to pass these tests, they need to provide all encompassing study material instead of forcing test takers to have to dig through pages of white papers and forum posts only to be questioned a 1% of one sentence out of every 50 pages. And what's worse is that you have absolutely no clue what to prepare for until you're taking the exam which is a horrible system. Again, I love this video series and it's taught me a lot, but do not expect to be prepared for the exam.

You NEED Laz if you're going to do CBT. Sure, CBTnuggets are fun, well-produced with big dollars and so forth and, they're also $90 A MONTH! I've taken 5 CBTnugget courses and honestly? Let's be honest here. The information presented suffers because of their "quality" concept. They simply don't hit ENOUGH material! Laz, and honestly again, Chris, both present the material in a way, and you need both! Plus, with the affordability of Udemy, you can afford both. Laz is, I don't know, a Sagittarius or a Leo. He's loud! He's in your face. He's excited. You NEED that. He's not clownish, giggling and scattered like "some", and I'll leave that there. Laz has a real life, non-plastic, human approachable format like "it's all fun and games until the exam", and he's right! Can you pass the CCNP 300-101 with just this course? Don't be stupid. Of course not. However, whatever *four* pieces of the exam puzzle you put together to pass, this is a vital one of them. Only one course to pass...HAHAHA! That's hilarious.

Laz is engaging and a clear communicator. His introductions include laymen's interpretation of the material, which makes the instruction easy to follow. The one thing I feel is missing is the router configuration files (show run). I think these are necessary files to understand how the networks are configured so that students can follow along by building the exact same network with the exact same configuration. Different IOSs have different functionality and different learning platforms (Packet Tracer, VIRL, GNS3) have different functionality. So, having that config, I feel, would make things a lot easier to follow and therefore more concrete in memory and understanding.

This instructor is amazing. honestly his personality has me coming back for more. Keep up the great lectures. very informative and easy to follow. love his straight talk.

Laz is one of the best instructors I have ever encountered. He makes the course interesting and upbeat. Very easy to follow and learn!!

I took both of Laz's CCNA courses and i thought he was very informative and down to earth with out being stuffy. He breaks blocks of information down very well which he makes easy to understand.
