This course is not designed for absolute Maya beginners.

I was very familiar with Arnold render engine before this course and still learnt a lot about it ! The course can be disjointed at times , there are some times the instructor is going back and forth that could definitely have been cut from the course. Last part of the course is a bit weak for me personally. I would recommend this course for anyone who would like to improve on his renders :).

I really like your way of teaching on YouTube that's why I purchased your course in Udemy I really like your courses but in cinematic lighting in maya course you are teaching only basic and only for photos not for video, i think you're going to teach animation shorts film cinematic lighting on maya if you teach animation shorts film cinematic lighting it really help full for me ...

I chose this course because I've had a really hard time with lighting and rendering out pieces that actually look good. After taking it, I feel a lot more confident in my understanding of how lighting, rendering, and cameras work in maya, as well as in my ability to produce a quality render of my work. I really appreciated learning about how the mechanics of real cameras and set lighting work, because it really improved my overall understanding of how those things work digitally. I also really appreciated the bits about composition, because that's also something that I have struggled with. Thank you very much for all of your help!

I have struggled with lighting and rendering in the past and this course has been an absolute game changer for the results I can now achieve. The course explains a common sense approach to lighting and provides you with the understanding to go off and experiment on your own.

This is a great course, however there is no mention of using acesIO which is what production is using these days. I would pay for this update. Also using just rocks and not any building assets is a miss as well. But other wise , well paced and narration is great.
