Why take this course?
This course explores the complexities of ministry for both leadership and congregants. Questions like, "What gifts do I really have to use in the church?" or "What are my strengths and weaknesses of my personality?" or even "How do I disciple a person in my church?" are some of the questions answered in this course. Although geared for worship ministry, the content is the same for all positions across the board, whether paid or volunteer. Church leaders such as pastors, assistants, worship pastors, youth pastors, secretaries, custodians, ushers, deacons, elders, Sunday school teachers, and other leadership will be able to benefit through the engagement and self-assessment from completing the course. For a more robust and rewarding experience, it is encouraged for multiple people in a ministry to individually enroll simultaneously take the course together. This will allow for cross-collaboration and discussion between leadership, staff, and volunteers. In addition, this course does make for a great study for teenagers as it dives into the multi-generational influence of young people in the church today. Students who complete the course will have a fresh perspective and approach to ministry for both themselves and others in their church as they discover Christian service as leader and follower.
