As a complete beginner I found this course was really good showing how to use the charcoal for sketching and blending. Enjoyed it so much and now looking for another course on charcoal to keep my interest in charcoal drawing going.

The tone of the class is really relaxed/chilled out, but I got so much from it. Super happy with the end product. I feel like I got to know the fundamentals of the medium so much so that I feel comfortable experimenting and trying my own thing already.

I thought it would be more specific in how to use the charcoal. Especially the different ways charcoal is available, i.e., pencil, vine, etc. Perhaps it would be better if the classes were longer.
