Why take this course?

This is literally the ULTIMATE Course on Integration!!

The most important requirement is that you know what a derivative is. If you know that then you can jump into this course as it starts from the very basics of integration.

Basically just,

1) Watch the videos, and try to follow along with a pencil and paper, take notes!

2) Try to do the problems before I do them(if you can!)

3) Repeat!

Integration is an absolutely beautiful subject. I hope you enjoy watching these videos and working through these problems as much as I have:)

Note this course has lots of very short videos. If you are trying to learn math then this format can be good because you don't have to spend tons of time on the course every day. Even if you can only spend time doing 1 video a day, that is honestly better than not doing any mathematics. You can learn a lot and because there are so many videos you could do 1 video a day for a very long time. Remember that math can be challenging and time consuming, so if you just do a little bit every day it can make your journey much more enjoyable. I hope you enjoy this course and learn lots of mathematics.

Absolutely great course. I taking Differential Equations next semester and it was a very long time ago that I took Calculus II so I needed to re-learn integration. This course is excelent, at first it may seem a little bit easy, but then has a great step-up. It has some great tricks and techniques and also helps for the thinking process that involves solving integrals. It's perhaps missing some techniques, like Weierstrass integration and some other substitutions but overall it's a great course on integration.

This course is the best way to learn how to do integrals! I used to fear facing integrals before: groaning at the sight of complicated looking symbols. But after going through this wonderfully made material, I could do a few of the integrals in my head. The teacher is indeed a sorcerer!

I took calculus 2 a few years ago and needed a refresher on integration. This course went above and beyond, and I feel like I got way more practice from this review than I did from my original class.

I love this course. The short videos make it easy to pay attention to. It then becomes almost addictive to just keep going. Sometimes, seeing that you have a 2 hour lecture is just too daunting and it makes it easy to put it off. The structure of this is amazing. Thanks Math Sorcerer!!!

It's a great course in that it not only provides one with the required theory, but also gives tons of examples where the instructor solves problems of various difficulty levels with great explanations.

Very impressive presentation. Understanding of maths is only possible through rigorous practice, and this man does do that very well. Integration concepts are well explained through problems. Those who are bored of theory can really enjoy this course. Best of luck everyone.

There are a few to why I think this course is a hidden gem. First, the instructor has made a brilliant work around for one of calculus' great hurdles, learned helplessness. I started re-learning calc 2 from another very popular udemy course and was quickly lost and frustrated. With this course I never felt that. This course is based on the concept of try it yourself and if you get stuck watch a little bit of video till you see what your was missing then you try to finish from there. Every time I came across a problem where I felt stuck, the very next video let me try again with the newly acquired information. I never had 2 back to back videos where I felt stuck. In fact the videos were laid out in such a way that I only needed help about once per section (often due to having forgotten something from pre-calculus). The other 5-9 problems in the section were doable. Because of this I never felt overwhelmed. The big advantage to doing things this way has to do with research on learning. Passively watching a video where the idea is explained to you doesn't really facilitate learning. Being checked on knowledge first forces you to recognize what you don't know by being wrong, or in the immortal words of Yoda, "Failure the best teacher is". Because so many of the videos are confidence building the ones where the real learning occurred didn't take away from that confidence. The last big advantage has to do with the time of the videos. The other course I was taking took 15 minutes for one problem. My attention span was shot by the end of the video and starting the next video felt tedious. With this course, the overwhelming majority of videos are 1-2 minutes with a few longer videos for teaching new ideas. This made it so much easier to stay motivated. In fact I worked through the first 80 videos in a day because the next one was just a couple of minutes more, and the next, and the next. In essence, the "math sorcerer" has managed to effectively gamify integrals because you quickly try a problem and recieve rapid feedback without a whole lot of extra repeatition thrown in so even watching the videos of problems I knew how to do was no big deal. In summary, if you are looking for the traditional classroom like learning with fancy production and video editing this is not the course for you. If you want to actually learn integrals based on pedagogical principles (science of learning) then buy this course as I was inspired to buy the rest of the series.
