A good topic to start off and cover's some good basic knowledge about storage but I would like to add a few points 1. It would be good to showcase the iscsi initiator configuration for a newer version of windows as now the newer version of windows does not need to install an initiator. 2. It can also be added in the RAID section that multiple RAID's can be added in a single Volume group. 3. I would have loved if there was some coverage on the topics like notification, chap authentication, quota etc. I know these topics may be a bit advanced but would really love to see those.

The course was enlightning, but the spoken language was some times little difficult to understand. Of course i understand that english is not the native language of the teacher, so i just had to listen over some times to get it. But overall a good course.

I enjoyed the course! I wish the content detailed creating all the virtual drives before covering volumes which in the video already existed. Also to create an iSCSI Target, you first need to start the iSCSI Target service, this was overlooked in the video. Did, I learn from troubleshooting these items...yes but it caused a few bumps in the course. Also I advise having VirtualBox and VMware videos (both). The course lessons show VMware primarily but details using VirtualBox earlier. This might be confusing to some students, bouncing between the environments. I think the linux commands used should be included in the slide presentation, some are and others are not. I used a 17" laptop and trying to view the commands used due to screen or video resolution from the original content was somewhat of a challenge for viewing clarity. However, the downloadable video files did help solve this concern. Overall a very good job with the course subject.

This is a great course on OpenFiler. Muhamad explains the very basics on OpenFiler taking you from the basics to the more advanced topics at the end of the course and explains how to use OpenFiler as a remote storage solution for Windows and Linux.

I found this course very useful. I followed along by installing openfiler in Virtualbox and using virtual disks. I knew about SAN in general but this course made it really easy to implement and understand some of the concepts such as, iscsi, iscsi initiator and target, luns and how to use it. I didn't know about openfiler and will now look to implement SAN storage for my home network. I would say the only improvement to consider is making the videos in HD. Thank for the great course!

The course is comprehensive in explanations of the topic. No beginner should have a problem following this course. Even those with Linux experience will learn about NAS vs SAN and find helpful hints on setting up their first DIY SAN device. Muhamad does have an accent, but his english is easy to understand. you'll learn a lot from his course. I'll be looking for more courses from this instructor. Audio quality is recorded very well. I can't wait until I can put what I have learned into place on some decent hardware! Thanks Muhamad!

I needed a short but well structured 'no frills' practical course on SAN storage and this course delivered just that. I followed the steps in the video to build my own SAN storage lab with physical boxes and also gained a much better understanding of the underlying storage concepts in the process. This course is highly recommended especially for those new to SAN storage.

The instructor is very knowledgeable about the subject. The course has great information and examples for each step on how to setup. I like the hands on approach since I can follow what needs to be done. Recommended for someone who needs hand on walkthrough.
