Great overview of what a Facebook community is all about and tips on types of engagement that attract followers. Plus lists of tools and apps Phil likes to use.
After a year in lockdown, I miss the sense of community, belonging to a group with similar interests (pretty much, something that engages people to share valuable lessons learnt during these crazy months), and I want to start one. I had created communities before, and I was over thinking it because of the enormous amount of work it took. This course taught me about key points to take into account for a community to grow, the importance of organic engagement, and tools available to make processed automatic, instead of posting individual pieces of content EVERY SINGLE DAY (caps intended. Doing that is very time consuming). Phil, the Instructor, makes it easier to understand, by sharing real life examples and showing what tools are available and how to use them. Important: most of the tools are either free or have a free trial period. If you are thinking about creating or expand your community and engage users/customers, this course is a good investment of your time. And it can save you from headaches along the way :)
This was an excellent course and met my current needs. The skills were well presented and are definitely usable. There were lots of takeaways and the course has increased my confidence.
The whole purpose of taking the course is to build a community not to be told the benefits of a community - I know the benefits hence the idea of the best way to build one.... section 1 is really not needed and a little patronising
Creating an online community is necessary nowadays. This course is a perfect match to my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in creating online communities.
So fr this is information that I already know. I think that people who are wanting to build a community do not need to know why they are building a community because they have already made that decision before doing this course. I was expecting to just jump right in and learning what to do to build that community.
