What you will learn

How to master breathing biomechanics, biochemistry and cadence to manage and anchor your physiological state for health, growth, performance and resilience.

Why take this course?

At all times, our physiological state biases how we "see, hear and feel" the world around us. We can let this play out on it's own, or we can learn to recognize our bodily state and develop strategies to manage our physiology to our advantage.

According to Polyvagal Theory by Stephen W. Porges, PhD, breathing is both a reflection of, and an efficient gateway into, our current physiological state. Through deliberate and skillful breathing awareness and techniques, we will learn how to manage our bodily state and align our nervous system to support optimal health, growth, resilience and performance.

This class provides you with an experiential practice and a simplified summary of tons of research related to topics such as breathwork, Polyvagal Theory, respiratory sinus arrythmia, heart rate variability, baroreceptor efficiency and chemo sensitity to carbon dioxide.

This is an evidence based approach where you will learn, understand and implement the 3 key components of proper breathing, including biomechanics, biochemistry and cadence for maximizing the ventral vagal regulation of your heart and improving baseline cardiac vagal tone.

This course is appropriate for anyone interested in improving their overall health, resilience, longevity, performance and quality of work, relationships and life, through the portal of breathing combined with leading-edge science, specifically related to Polyvagal Theory.

Interesting and valuable to learn about the polyvagal theory, and there were interesting articles attached to the course content. Excellent to connect the theory with breathing.

Yes, very. I’m a psychotherapist, and I’ve been studying PVT. Michael’s delivery and explanations are so clear, so valuable.

Excellente formation, dommage qu'il n'en soit pas ainsi concernant le sous-titrage en français, la traduction est parfois très approximative.

I'm not a fan of long introductory materials, but I have to admit, I'm not representative of the general population : ) Esp with strong medical physiology background

What an amazing way to start my day! Micheal calm, relaxed voice helps and guides me into the best daily mediation sessions I’ve ever had! Through his breathing course he has taught me how to get to the next level and get far more out of my meditating - THANK YOU!

I don't think the teacher fully understand what he teaches. feel like a "Ctl C + Ctl V" of many articles without personal training nor experience.

The course is a lot more thorough than I had imagined, and I appreciate the citation of academic papers and inclusion of resources. The instructor seems very grounded, and his tone is calming, which I think is also a testament to him doing the work.

I've already been interested in and trying nose breathing and some breathing exercises online. I'm not all the way through the course yet but already am having positive results and learning a great deal. I recommend it!
