It is not hyperbole to say that a thorough understanding of economics enables us to better understand the human condition. I truly believe that.

As a former Peace Corps Volunteer, a graduate of Duke University, and someone who has been fortunate enough to have traveled to over 55 countries around world, you will see how those experiences shape my teachings of Economics. Economics is the study of human behavior; and it is as a result of that behavior that economists have something to put into data charts and diagrams to study. Don't ever forget that!

Love this course! I took it as a refresher as I last studied macro a couple decades ago. Brad's presentation is so refreshing, easy to understand, not a single moment of boredom!! It answered my lingering questions around fiscal and monetary policy (got em confused) & the 2 opposing economic views. Completing this course really helps me set the foundation to understanding financial markets & the government's role in the economy. Thank you Brad :))

gives great overview overall but lacks depth for more serious students. ex. international trade details, specific government policies to encourage development of new technologies, 2008 bank crisis, bond market details , equity market details etc.

I'm sorta at disbelief at how fun, engaging and exciting learning can be from learning online like this. This is my first online course. My Yerba Mate loving friend here is doing a sensational job. Can't wait to finish this then dig into Microeconomics. I surely hope other teachers I come across in the future are as enthusiastic as him. Economics is one of those topics that to me, on the outside, seems to be quite dry. However, I knew from the free videos that this course would be different. Brad's passion comes through really strong and he is such an engaging teacher. One of the promises in the very first videos is that you will start to understand more about the news and politics. I found this to be bang on, as only a short while later I had a series of 'Aha' moments, when the penny finally dropped about terminology I had heard before. Loving the course and now I can't wait to start the macroeconomics and managerial economics courses. Thanks :-)
