Why take this course?

In this course, we will explore the different layers of bluetooth low energy specification. We start explore from very low hardware Radio Layer upto application layer of bluetooth low energy. Bluetooth Low Energy is evolving and used in wide range of applications starting from Personal Area Networks to Smart Automation Networks.

Here we concentrate currently on Bluetooth Low Energy Personal Area Networks and its layers like Radio Layer, Link Layer, L2CAP layer, Attribute, General Access Profile, Generic Attribute Protocol, Security Manager, Host Controller Interface Layer and application layers.

This course also provides step by step implementation of Environment Sensing service development starts from advertising, simple GATT connection, adding BLE standard profile, adding characteristics, read and notify properties, reading data from DHT11 and update data on every 5 seconds, and also includes notification.

Good stuff but also quite dry - requires more than 1 view to understand everything, at least for me. It is sometimes difficult to understand the speaker, and the captions are useless (they don't understand the speaker either :-) This review is written after video 9 out of 26, so I have not reached the fun part yet... Video 15: Now the good stuff is coming up! I have yet to see my BLE device run and connect though...

really has not been useful to teach me how to use the Nordics thus far; just talking about its stats etc when we could go into the info followed by some code then do the next part. but this is sooooo slow and still havent hit any coding/ info on how to actually use it yet

The lecturer is merely reading off his slides, and it's very hard to understand even when he is just reading off of his slides.

The slides for the course are pretty good all things considered. The challenge for me was the instructors pronunciation of some words and the pauses in his sentences which made it hard to follow. The background noises like crickets, birds, and maybe traffic didn't help. I feel a little bad giving a poor review but I also couldn't finish the course because of it either.

Amazing course for someone, looking for firmware development. The course is divided into two parts section 1 & 2 are related to fundamentals of BLE and section 3 & 4 for firmware development.

Thanks for the course. There could be little more explanations needed during the code writing of why we write what we write. Except from that, overall it is a good course to start with designing a BLE App.

As course progress, gets more interesting. The author has covered different test cases mentioned in the description. But it is an incomplete course. The last one or two lectures are missing.

Very useful training course. First two parts are written to have focused on BLE protocols and stack. The last part is dedicated to FW programming using Segger Embedded Studio, for developers of NordicSemi SDK nRF52 devices this IDE is free of charge. Author of the course is very open and willing to help and discuss any issue you can have during studying.

The course is informative. However, in my opinion, it could be even better if there is hands on lab projects involving the Nordic Bluetooth. I have zero experience in BLE. I would definitely be interested in a lab hands on course.
