The teacher doesn't know how to teach... at all. It is more like "I know how this stuff might work" but that is not enough to explain this to people. The sound quality is bad, and gets even worse in the "Modeling a simple chair" section. Many things are just "I try this stuff... I dunno why it is not working", gut feeling, many things are wrong and sometimes get corrected offscreen, ... It is just not good. I wouldn't even give this a thumbs up on youtube if it would be a free course. A course should have a roadmap, a voice script, a path to go along. And not "I show you how I make something and try things... do you wanna come along?" Best example for that is stuff like "You can't change the size of a rigidbody with scripts" -> 30 Seconds later tries exactly that. Its just not good. You can learn stuff, yes, but if you buy this course you don't get a professional lecture and explanation. Edit: Okay, I skipped through the rest, and holy maccaroni. Shows his buggy "Dome Keeper" clone with 2 reviews and talks about marketing. Most codes is buggy as hell. No wonder so many bad and broken games are being thrown out there, if THIS are the best courses here on Udemy for that topic. No music, no sound effects, buggy environment, stolen textures (which they aren't even allowed to use in this course, or distribute even further) and much much more. People who want to learn this stuff... learn it yourself, or watch better tutorials on YouTube. This here is a scam.

Instructor patiently explains and is very informative on the use of the Godot editor. I understood some new very important functions that are fundamental. I have just a some experience with Godot, however I missed some basic functions. This is very helpful.

Nice course, im new to the godot, so im very excited with this content. But coding skills of the author sometimes may be not so well, and I need to adjust his code to prevent bugs/unexpected behavior (im senior data scientist, so I can do this)

The instructor does not seem to be using a syllabus. He makes mistakes and either skips them or comes back and fixes them later, this makes it hard to follow. Edit: The course also now seems to be the only one I have purchased on udemy that only runs in 720, not sure why its the only low res one.

The best Godot course! I'd love to see a 2D horror course with point-and-click gameplay or an RPG with dialogues and special abilities, and so on. I'm about to dive into your other courses. Your explanations are really clear. Thank you so much!

It's hard to understand the instructor's accent at times and unfortunately the auto captions get just as confused as I do. This leads to frequently pausing the video and replaying parts and ruining the flow of learning. This is made worse when the instructor on a few occasions says 1 thing while doing something else like saying to type 1 thing but actually typing something else. They frequently stumble over themselves when speaking and often start over whatever thought they had and it honestly just made me wish they had a script or redid the video. The actual code is very inconsistent with the variable names and the solutions, which is the nature of code but it worries me when even as a beginner I'm raising an eye brow at some inefficiencies and redundancies happening. The worst part is getting about 75% into the code and copying exactly what the instructor did in the video but getting an errors, I commented asking for help and got a response to try something which didn't work and then have received no follow up responses since then so I'm effectively stuck. Both the Godot forums and Discord were unable to help because by this point in the course the instructor wasn't clearly explaining what exactly the script was doing and why we did it the specific way. It started off great in this aspect but gradually tapered off as we went. That being said, I learned A LOT of new things from this course and would have given it a 3.5/5 but I am not able to finish it due to the error and the Blender section was basically impossible to follow for me. This paired with the other mentioned issues and I'm lowkey wishing I was able to refund and try my luck on another $20 course.

Course is definitely not for everyone. While execution of the project seems a bit all over the place and final code could use some work, I can't deny that it was both enjoyable and insightful.

The perfect tutorial. I had no experience of building games. Godot well explained, blender well explained. Makes you confident about being a game developer. I published my game ! and here it is to try : https://toofani.itch.io/no-more-crosses

The is the best course on Godot I have seen or completed anywhere so far. It is excellent because the instructor does not worry about perfection. He makes simple 3D models in blender, textures them and imports them to Godot and makes them work. This course is amazing. It is so much better than other courses where a teacher spends 30 minutes trying to make perfect topology and UVs and going to advanced stuff you don't need in Blender. This course actually just helped me to make my first working game because he just gets to the point and ACTUALLY HAS FUN!! You can tell the instructor enjoyed building the game and that made the course even better.

The starting section could benefit from scripting, but effectively and efficiently hits all the basics. After he gets into it he clearly knows what he's doing, loves doing it, and will help you do it to.

Nice course with an interesting workflow between Godot and Blender, on a very niche genre of game, that is not always presented as easily by other teachers. At time, it feels that the course is a bit improvised, and the resulting game may not be as polished as you'd expect, but go with the flow and you'll be rewarded.
