Hello everyone and welcome to the Cloth Simulation Guide in Blender 2.8! In this course you will learn all about the cloth simulation and how it works in Blender. Simulations are very confusing and sometimes hard to understand so I created this course so that you will know exactly how to use the cloth simulation and what the functions are.

In the first couple sections we will be going through how the simulation works and what the settings do. After that I will be showing you how you can have multiple cloth objects interact with each other, how collision objects work and more. We will also jump into Blender version 2.82 and learning about a new feature called Internal Springs and Pressure.

Finally the last 2 sections will be complete tutorials. The first one being a blanket falling on a couch. In this section we will be importing a couch model that I am giving away in this course. From there we will simulate it, add textures and render it out!

The second tutorial will be a balloon exploding simulation. We will be using the new feature in Blender 2.82 called pressure and learning how to animate it.

Really solid course. I've been using Blender for years, and have never really bothered diving into physics simulations. I appreciate the fact that he went through every setting and showed examples of what they do. The little projects at the end of each section were quick and pretty easy, but they gave good examples of what can be done with these tools. It's a great course for getting started with cloth sims in Blender and should leave you confident in exploring the tools further on your own.

Pretty good course, with good examples, may be it could have been a little bit more about the different presets of cloths, but we get a very very good view of all of the cloth siimulation. Thanks you for that and keep going with good courses !

very thorough and gets a lot of information out quickly, which is nice…anyone can always back up and listen again. the only thing that could be improved on Udemy’s part for all detail oriented courses, is modifying the screen that can accommodate the larger screen function, so you can see tiny details when clicking onto action buttons.

I was really surprised! I thought cloth simulation was going to be very complicated. But he showed that it wasn't. I knocked off half a star because when it came to following along and doing the exercises with him, he went through the steps really quickly and I had to constantly keep rewinding to catch up. I have bought more of his courses so it hasn't put me off but just thought I'd give a little heads up about that.

I have to admit that I enjoy instructors that use a more conversational tone, and I would have liked to see more tutorials, but all in all this course is a solid introduction to cloth simulations.

Good Course, but for me, extremely fast. Too hard to follow sometimes what you select, what did you do. Maybe if you can wait just a second when you select something or do a new thing, would be great for your future courses (that I really want to take).

I liked how to the point this course was. Most of the videos included were really short but packed with information, and I personally can't say that's a negative at all. This course will give you a good understanding of the basics of blender's cloth simulation, and with the information provided, I feel like I could rather confidently apply that to more complex render projects. I've been doing cloth sim on and off since finishing this, which I wanted to do before giving out this review. I can say that this have saved me so much headache, when I know that I can get back to these videos to find pretty much any answer I might have when it comes to cloth simulation. Good job, sir, highly recommended.

Great course, I learned quite a few things here, even additional things that relate to Blender and not directly to the cloth simulation. I think the course is good for beginners like me to have good overview of the cloth simulation in Blender

very in-depth. i was able to understand the properties of the cloth simulation thing. what each values (spring, friction and mass, even the collision distance and using the weight paint mode) awesome, Stephen has done it again for me. thanks. A good course for learning basic to intermediary skills with the cloth sim. Liked the clothing examples, but since he has Cloth Weaver out now, this is kind of an intro to that addon.
