so far so good Only complaint i can give is that i wish he told us about the right click>join area when working with adding/reducing viewport. This part of the blender UI feels rough and i ended up opening 10 windows instead of closing the second. I had to do some googling on the side to solve the issue

The content of the lessons was good to learn the basics. I wish the trainer would not keep digressing from the main content. That made me tend to lose focus on what I was doing, even though I have a fair knowledge of Cinema 4D. Remember this course is for beginners, so we need it to be focussed on the workspace and how to get around it quickly while generating an output to nicely round off the learning.

There is fantastic information on getting started with Blender 2.9, and also wonderful workflow and modelling tips. It's been very helpful. There are times when the lessons can be a bit disorganized, which can be distracting to the flow of the lesson. Overall -- invaluable information, expert advice, excellent value.

It was a good Match. Itook 1 star off because he talked to fast and the volume was to low. I had it maxed and I still barely heard it.

Lesson 5 is so blurry through most of the course that there is no way for a beginner like me to follow along. With Blender changing until the final version it is very important to be able to see the icons that are being clicked on which you can not see in lesson 5. The oher lessons were fine other than it should have been pointed out that you need to keep rotating your model so it ends up round instead of oblong I was able to keep up.

Volume is a real problem even with head set and volume at highest. Other than that it is exactly what it says, "First Step - Get the Basics Right"

I expected more explanation between the differences of the two versions, very basic in the fundamental functions and almost no mention of the new modifications

I’ve done quite a few Blender courses on Udemy and this is by far the worst! The instructor appears to be making things up as he goes along. He clearly doesn’t have a solid grasp of the software and his narration often starts to ramble as he tries to make sense of what he is doing. I’ve only completed the first chapter and will not proceed with the others. Newcomers should avoid.

Really good as an introduction, clearcut and pedagogical, not just going over a zillion gadgets and functions

The course was very good, and I hope you do more of these kinds of blender 2.80 tutorials, as I’d purchase them. Only issue is that the audio was very quiet and not too easy to hear on mobile.
