There is a very powerful application that is used in both the TV and movie industry called Blackmagic Design Fusion. It is made by the same company that makes Davinci Resolve. It has pretty much all of the capabilities of AE but the good news is you can get it for FREE. They have two versions available, one for free download and another studio version which costs $299. The great thing is that most of its best features are available in the free version. Both versions were recently updated and even the paid version is now 1/3 the price is was available for previously.

This course presents some of the basics of the application, but is mainly focused on teaching more intermediate to advanced elements of both Blackmagic Fusion 9 and VFX in general. We will create real world examples that represent what is actually practiced in video production.

Naarmate je verder door de cursus gaat wordt het een stuk overzichtelijker. In eerste instantie een vrij steile leercurve.

First of all.... I think course has a lot of good examples which are pretty useful. BUT: It goes from 0% to 10% (Text Animations) in a pretty long section. (Plus it doesn't covers the plain basics and starts right through. This MIGHT be ok, because it's quite good to follow.) Afterwards it explodes to 80% when it comes to Motion Graphics and the first lecture in this section was SO overwhelming I struggled to follow and lost myself into weird timeline chaos. So I skipped the next lessons or just made it through with 2x Speed. Seriously. You just show a few nodes in the first part and when I started the video I saw the entire Flow populated? I know it's some Copy & Paste. But.. MAN! Split it into a few Videos and provide us with some "Savepoints". Plus the first Videos are... dunno. 5-10 Minutes and in Motion Graphics it's 20-30?! This is pretty sad. I hope the Visual Effects part is more relaxed. AND: Why the heck don't you have any course Materials provided at the beginning? So I had to search for my own footage or use the Sign Video. Plus I'd find it quite helpful to get your Comps to load it into Fusion so I can follow along when I'm stuck. I'll keep this course because I think it might be a good resource, when I need it, otherwise I'd request a refund.

This is what I was looking for. I am new to Davinci Resolve Studio 15 and this helps me to learn the Fusion tab operation.
