It is a different approach from others that I have studied over the years. I liked that ritual and community are considered important principles. Often birth is presented as an individual, medical, non-spiritual experience. I believe that it is so much more.

This course is exactly what I needed. Being pregnant has been beautiful, incredibly frustrating at times, and very emotional. I wanted to take a course that allowed me to delve deeper into the emotions that I have been experiencing while learning how to embrace them as they come. I also wanted the practical details that would help me to make the most informed decisions possible moving forward- what the heck is a birth plan, why do some women prefer some options over others, what is happening to my body, etc. This course is a wonderful balance of the spiritual and the science, providing lots of real opportunities for practice along the way.

This is my second pregnancy and I was really nervous about the mental aspect of birth. This class really helps you channel your inner confidence and trust in yourself, which is exactly what I needed. Also now I feel like I really just want to hang out and get coffee with Bailey and Taryn.
