Rabbi Chaim explains everything in a way that makes it easy for me to understand. Furthermore, based on his teaching, I have learned things that I never learned before. It is a new and better way for me to think about the Torah in both the written form, readably available to everyone, and the more important oral form that is known best by the orthodox Jews.

The course is very informative for the Noahide community, since most are coming out of christianity and other religions and know absolutely nothing about the Talmud, of our Jewish brothers and sisters. I am appreciative for the opportunity to learn from Rabbi Chaim Goldberg.

I am a Christian who recently took a course in Old Testament survey. I now wonder why Judaism was removed from the new testament believers, yet all of the wisdom of the NT text comes from the Jewish Bible.

Although it’s a little difficult to understand every word he is saying, due to his accent, his command of the English language is excellent! I have Hebrew roots and also very interested in the Hebrew language and history, therefore, I find his topics to be very fascinating! I received a brief introduction to the history of rabbinic authority. It is helpful to non-Jews who want a superficial explanation of Jewish religious culture.

It's quick in that there is little lecture material but the pace is slow enough to capture the main concepts conveyed. Dispels a few myths or misunderstandings related to Torah, Oral Torah and Kabbalah and does so in a non-condescending way. English doesn't seem to be the instructor's first language though the closed captions clear a lot up. It's a prep course for the instructor's later courses yet still carries value as a stand alone.

Interesting and good course. The Rabbi has first hand knowledge about the subject. One minus is the background music, that sometimes is to loud, so it can be distracting. Thats why 4,5 star rating.

The course seems too slow at the start, and then they ask you to review it midway, but if you are patient and skip that review, you will find that the second half of the course builds very deeply on the first half. It is absolutely necessary to have that foundation of understanding before 'jumping into the deep end'. Very good instructor and I learned a lot. VERY insightful.

This course has helped me a great deal to understand the meaning that oral Tora has, what the word "Halacha" means, and how it comes about. In additon, the course helps me to understand why different Rabbis have different opinions. Thank you for this great course!
