I came from an old GWBasic as a child then Pascal and C at the University. I did a lot of interesting things at that time including few games. Then after a pause for a very long period of time I am just interested in learning some modern Language and I choose PHP, all the PHP structural programing is same as the rest of the languages except for some small rules it has not change at all but the OOP is a concept not very clear for me. This videos and the author are helping me pass through this in a very easy way and move forward with my goal, the line that was keeping me out of advancing is disappearing and with that my frustration. There are a lot of videos out there and they all start fine until I get lost somewhere and I stop understanding the topic. Now I am feeling more secure as the concepts are been forge in my mind in the correct way and I am understanding the author as he speaks very clear, the audio is perfect, the video is good quality and he takes the right timing in the details. This course is straight forward to the content, no waist of time, or paraphrases. This is excellent for newbies like me who are trying to familiarize with OOP and pass through the concepts in a very easy way, and I could say this fits perfect for any student and anybody who wants to start the object oriented programming world. Thanks

As with most courses I have found that begin with 'Beginners ...', this course was designed for those with a lot of programming experience, but who might not be familiar with PHP or programming's Object Oriented paradigm. That said, the instructor carefully laid the groundwork for OOP, the PHP way, explaining the relevance of each new grammatical term and the syntax that went with it. The assignments were very helpful, though a few more would have helped to increase the retention rate. I found the course engaging and the instructor inspiring. Those looking to add to their skillset may enjoy it, but there is a proviso: get to grips with setting up a server (WAMP and the like) and familiarize yourselves with a relational database.

Out of the several classes I tried - as a beginner in learning PHP OOP, this class/instructor teaches from a structured lesson plan that builds coding language comprehension without making assumptions because all material covered are explained in previous lectures. In other words, if you don't understand current material being discussed, something covered previously was not fully understood. Just go back and review to gain an understanding. THAT'S TEACHING!

Very good beginner's intro to OOP PHP. Note that the assignments require a knowledge of HTML & PHP coding, including forms handling, that is not covered in the course. I didn't give it 5 stars, as I feel I would have learned easier if there were smaller exercises to re-enforce concepts before moving to the big assignments, but maybe that's just me.

A basic and straight forward introduction to PHP OOP concepts. Seams quite old, though. Examples are very barebone and quite horrible from a UX perspective (possible invalid input combinations that will wipe out the whole form on submit). How many times did we have to see the instructor replace a local path with "localhost" when loading files in browser? Any somewhat better coding tool would have solved that more elegantly.

Animals as a sample for OOP. Has been done many times. Also stuff about server installation is irrelevant.
