Is this course right for me : If you are a complete beginner looking for a course which teaches you how to create a real time game character and covers everything form Sculpting, retopology and texturing of a game character, specifically stylized kind of character then yes, this course is for you. Basically you want to learn to create a complete real time character from start to finish.

This course is not for me if : If you are an advance artist or student who knows the entire pipeline and looking for a realistic character making course then this is not a course for you. We have other courses which covers that.

Requirements to enrol : This course is for complete beginners that means you don't need any prior knowledge of the used software in this course.

We have covered the basics of each software we have used in this course. But you need to have Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Marmoset Toolbag and Photoshop installed on your PC.

Software we are gonna use : Maya, Zbrush, Marmoset Toolbag, Substance painter and Photoshop.

This is the second course I've gone through taught by Abraham, and I'm already planning on taking on his more advanced courses, which should tell you what I think about his teaching style. He's does a fantastic job, he actually takes the time to explain why he's doing the things he's doing and also touching on alternative methods for multiple points in the pipeline. A few notes on this course, one, due to him working at a bit faster pace to keep the course from being insanely long, there are a few small things he misses (main ones being not modeling the character's grenades and not texturing the mouth interior). However, considering how much he shows you it's not hard to take this as an opportunity to use what you've learned and figure it out on you own like I did. Also, it would have been nice to touch a bit more on stylized character design in general and how the modeling workflow fits into the full production pipeline, it's touched on briefly in direct context to the specific character being modeled but it would have been nice to have been given a bit more overall context, even if it's just discussed a bit more in depth and not demonstrated. Still, for a beginner's course, what is covered is more than adequate. Overall, even if you're like me and not a complete beginner, this course has a lot to offer. I learned a ton that I feel will dramatically improve my work in the future, and I feel like now I have a clear path to build up my portfolio and hopefully someday soon get that dream job I've always wanted.

Hey Abraham, as usual your course is very interesting ad motivating. So I'm going to try, with what I learned with your other courses, to redo your character in a realistic style using Maya, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer and Xgen and make myself a good portfolio. So Thank you for this course.

Muy buen curso, algo pesado, me tomó un mes completarlo pero puedo decir que aprendí bastante; una cosa que si podria sugerir para cursos futuros es que se use el pluggin que muestre que teclas presionó el instructor, ya que a veces no decia lo que hacia y tenia que estar buscando o adivinando qué onda, otra seria que en la parte de la retopologia se tomara más tiempo de explicar el flujo de los quads y como siguen la forma (ya sé que no es un curso de retopologia, pero hubiera estado cool), de todos modos quedo muy satisfecha con el curso y volveré a tomar clases impartidas por el instructor!

This guy is fantastic, Nextut always releases the best tuts. If you want you can do what I did and not follow along exactly but sort of create your own character by learning from his lessons. Either way you'll learn a ton. Thanks so much you guys you rock!

This is really useful to me to learn more to use simplify the usage of tools and how to create the stylized character and how the create the model from high poly to low poly and more topics are expecting for the instituter. Thank you for teaching to understand very easily & explanatory way.

Amazing course, i was able to not only understand the workflow of a game ready asset, but learned a a lot about sculpting modeling and all of that, definetly recommend it to anyone that want's to really understand how to do 3d assets for games.

This is an excellent tutorial for beginners who never sculpted a character or anything likewise before. But, the workflow of this tutorial is mostly bad and if you don't plan on doing more tutorials you might develop unnecessary work habits. Because this gets you started rather than showing you how to actually do it.

Great instructor. But if you don't know nothing about Maya and Zbrush, you will be in real trouble. I use Maya and Zbrush for 2 years and half so for me it's not a problem. The other problem is he teaches super fast and he didn't create the character from the start (he uses a "pre made" character and changes the form of the face and body) so in the end it's creating a character from the scratch...
