Why take this course?

I updated this course 6/5/2022 to include my Introduction to Moho course at the end.  Enjoy the additional training material :-).

I updated this course 6/4/2023 to provide information on the Moho 13.5 release and acquisition by Lost Marble.

Have you tried to learn Moho but gotten stuck?  Well, you're not the only one -- I've been where you are now.

  • Maybe you tried piecing together YouTube videos but couldn't find where to begin or the order in which to watch them

  • Maybe you tried other online video courses but found they were outdated (no longer matched your version of the software), were too specific or way too advanced

  • Maybe you tried an introductory course which was nice but it was too short

I created this course to specifically address these issues.  They are what I viewed as a gaping hole in the previously available body of Moho knowledge; namely, a decent introduction.

This course provides a detailed, easy to follow introduction to Moho Pro, version 12 (not Anime Studio 11, 10, 9...).  This introduction is 11.5 hours (not one hour) because it addresses all the phases of 2D development using Moho (not just one phase) including:

  • Illustration

  • Rigging

  • Animation

It even includes a lengthy section on lip syncing a character manually and using a semi-automated process based on the free Papagayo product.

Though this course is for beginners, it delves into advanced topics such as:

  • Smart Bones

  • Reference Layers

  • Target Bones

After completing this course, you'll know Moho very well.  You'll certainly be able to tackle more advanced YouTube lectures to hone your skills to perfection.

Don't forget the Udemy 30 day no questions asked money-back guarantee.  If you're not happy with this course, just return it.  That makes your decision to enroll a straightforward decision, doesn't it?

Click on the Enroll button in the upper right to learn the most powerful 2D illustration and animation software in the world: Moho Pro.

I'll see you in the classroom,

---Brian

This is an amazing course! Brian Jackson does a fantastic job introducing you to Moho and explaining the functionalities in a clear, concise manner which is super easy to understand! This is a perfect beginner course for Moho, because of how easy to understand it is, and after the course I have no issues whatsoever to learn any of the other more advanced Moho features! Also Brian Jackson has a very relatable and friendly style of teaching, which makes it again so easy to learn. He also makes an effort to speak very clearly, so I could basically watch the entire course at 1.5-2x the playback speed with no issue whatsoever! I recommend the course.

Keep Attending an 11-hour training session with only basic knowledge is not a worthwhile investment of your time and money. Instead, I recommend checking out a free online Reallusion webinar (for cartoon animator 5) on YouTube. It provides valuable additional resources and is a better option if you’re looking to learn some creative animations in a short time. Not recommended for those who want to create short animation clips or videos. All Moderate Animators are urged to Stay away, Thanks

This is a great course for learning MOHO Pro. Instructor goes through each lesson in detail so nothing is left out. He does not rush through like most instructors on this platform. He goes at a nice easy pace so the student can absorb the lesson. I am learning so much and really enjoying this course. I watched several videos on you tube but this is the course to really learn MoHo. Thanks Brian.

Honestly, this tutor seems to know some stuff but really bumbles and fumbles his way through the whole course. It appears that no actual thought has gone into preparation. Instead of taking us through a step by step project, we are shown some of the functionality of Moho and left to our own devices after that, only to arrive at the crucial part, rigging, where he has drawn a full character which apparently we were supposed to do so we could take part in the rigging process. His introduction to rigging is comical and e does not seem to follow his own advice. I know this course if for beginners but we did pay for this course and I would expect a little more structure

Ein Kurs ist immer dann gut, wenn vorher klar ist, auf welche Vorkenntnisse er aufbaut. In diesem Fall auf keine. Das hat gut funktioniert.

If you want baby steps into MOHO this is the video for you, everything you need to know is covered in great detail. However, not to be a jerk or rude, it would be nice if the instructor drank loads of water to wet his mouth before lessons as the sound of dry mouth made this a little cringe to watch (I know this is not necessarily an issue but I almost quit more than once)

Very simple but very good. Covers basics very well, providing the foundation for more complicated tasks.

Some materials were not covered throughly and some sections were covered too quickly. Putting the bone tutorials in some kind of context and having materials to follow with would have been helpful.

So far I'm intrigued and I'm interested in continuing which is a good sign for me since I have focusing issues.

I really enjoyed this course. It helped me to start with Moho 12. I guess we can not hope to simple magically learn everything from the instructors. It is essencial to use it, to try it. Courses should be meant to teach the students to be confortable with the subjects they are learning. And for they to solve their own problems as they keep always coming. For this course, I felt exactly that. Stimulated to start, to try it, to explore it. The instructor passes that feeling. Don't give up. You can do it. The explanations are clear, and easy to reproduce within the software. And both, the course and the software are pretty fun.

This course is full with details and tips. I really enjoy each section and Brian has a nice teaching style. The intro to the rigging section was hilarious, the potato really enjoys beer. Seriously, If you want to excel Moho this is the right course.

On my screen I did not seeing the "walk" shaded area in the bottom, so I'm confused about where it is and I also don't know how to "stop" a character from walking.
